Check out our team’s most visited burger places in Barbican because you just might find a spot you have yet to visit that will become your favourite.

Our esteemed team has compiled a list of the top four purveyors of the burger arts in the Barbican vicinity.

Bonfire

First on our list is Bonfire – a small casual eatery with lovely staff and delicious food. The menu mainly consists of burgers and a few salads.

For all beef burger fans, we recommend trying The Cheese One (beef patty, cheese, pickles, relish, mayo), the Blue Avo (beef patty, stilton cheese, avocado, mayo), and the Pulled Pork (beef patty, BBQ pulled pork, apple fritter, mayo).

If you prefer chicken burgers then go for their Crispy Buttermilk (chicken, cheddar, garlic mayo) and the Bourbon BBQ (fried chicken, bourbon BBQ sauce, blue cheese mayo).

If you don’t eat meat then we are certain you will love their Spicy Beanie Burger (with spiced bean patty, avocado, coriander coconut yoghurt).

The Posh Burger

The Posh Burger is a lovely restaurant that offers both gourmet as well as some unique and creative burgers filled with interesting ingredients and toppings that will definitely impress you. They for sure impressed our team so much that we go back to The Posh Burger regularly.

We honestly recommend trying everything on their menu because it’s all very good, however, our favourites are The Posh Burger (Angus beef patty, lettuce, gherkins, tomato, red onion, tomato ketchup, and homemade posh sauce), The Swanky Burger (Angus beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, bacon, red onion relish, mustard, mayo), The Maharajah (spiced chicken, lettuce, mango mayo, red onion, American mustard), and The Connoisseur (Wagyu beef patty, hash brown, bacon, cheddar, slaw, lettuce, chilli jam, blue cheese dressing, BBQ sauce).

Address: 96 Old St, London EC1V 9AY

Old Red Cow

An extremely popular pub in Barbican that many love – including our team, is the Old Red Cow. The interior is awesome – simple with a victorian-style and split-level. Aside from delicious food they also have a selection of excellent wines and beers.

They offer five different burgers – one being vegetarian with a plant-based patty.

We really enjoy their Chicken Deluxe Burger (with fried chicken, bacon, cheese, rocket, and mayo) and their Cow Deluxe Burger (beef patty, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, homemade burger sauce, salsa, beer battered onion rings, chips, and slaw).

Address: 71 Long Ln, Barbican, London EC1A 9EJ

Lazybones

Another lovely casual restaurant that is worth visiting whenever you want a tasty burger is Lazybones. We recently found out about this place, however, in the past few months we have gone back numerous times so we had to include it in our list today.

They do offer four classic burgers – one with a beef patty (+ lettuce, tomato, burger sauce, pickles, onion), one with chicken (+chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion). The two other burgers on their menu are the Cheese and Bacon one (beef patty or fried chicken, bacon, and cheddar) and the Vegetarian burger (with vegan patty, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles).

You can also make your own burger – choose between beef patty, fried chicken, or vegan patty and then pick the toppings you want (they have a lot, from mozzarella, basil pesto, guacamole, and chorizo to jalapenos, cheese, and bacon).
