4 Of The Best Burger Places In High Barnet According To Our Team
One excellent casual burger spot in New Barnet that we are certain all of you will enjoy is Spielburger.
We recommend the House Burger (beef patty, lettuce, onion, burger sauce, and your choice of cheese – cheddar, red Leicester, blue or gruyere cheese), the 1216 (beef patty, red Leicester, bacon, fried potato scraps, harissa mayo), and the Shrimp & Avocado (King prawn patty, avocado, seeds, chilli jam, lettuce, lime mayo).
If you don’t eat meat, you can grab their Halloumi Burger (Baked honey-glazed halloumi, spiced slaw, apricot harissa mayo) or the Vegan Cheeseburger (plant-based patty, plant-based smoked cheese, pickle, onion, lettuce, ketchup, vegan mayo, mustard).

Grab their Single Cheese Burger (Wagyu Beef Patty, American Cheese, Lettuce, Onions, Mayonnaise, Burger Sauce), the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Burger (Homemade Fried Buttermilk Chicken, American Cheese, Lettuce, Mayonnaise, House Burger Sauce), or The Cheat Day Double (2 Wagyu Beef Patties, American Cheese, Lettuce, Crispy Onions, Mayonnaise, Burger Sauce).

Ye Olde Mitre
Ye Olde Mitre is a spot with rich history because it was established in 1633 and is one of the oldest remaining pubs in the area. Of course, the venue is renovated but it still gives off that vintage pub vibe – and we love it!
Of course, the menu is also impressive – with pub classics such as pies, wings, steaks, fish and chips, plus burgers.
We recommend the Vintage Cheddar & Bacon Burger (beef patty, smoked bacon, 1833 Barbers Vintage Cheddar, house seasoned fries, BBQ relish) and the Korean Chicken Burger (fried chicken, Korean BBQ
sauce, spring onion, red chilli, fries, BBQ relish).
Address: 58 High St, Chipping Barnet, Barnet EN5 5SJ
And last on our list is Hadley House which is a beautiful restaurant with a great interior, a cosy garden with a sitting area, friendly staff, and an amazing menu!
When it comes to their burgers, check out their Hadley House Special Burger (2 smashed beef patties, bacon, crispy onions, gherkins, BBQ mayonnaise, burger cheese), the Hadley House Special Chicken Burger (fried chicken, special chicken sauce that resembles gravy, lettuce, gherkin), or the Vegan Burger if you don’t eat meat (it has a falafel, vegan cheese, spiced homemade hummus, fries).
