Our team loves Japanese food – and since we know that you love it too, we decided to share all of our favourite Japanese restaurants in Westminster so you know exactly where to go the next time you want sushi, sashimi, ramen, tempura, or donburi!

4 Of The Best Japanese Restaurants In Westminster You Must Visit

Ginza St. James’s

Ginza St. James’s is an incredible high-end Japanese restaurant. It has a sophisticated and stylish interior and delicious food prepared from fresh ingredients. This place is definitely pricey, however, the overall experience is excellent which is why we recommend you visit at least once if you are a fan of Japanese cuisine!

Not only is the food super tasty but it’s presented properly – whatever you order, the plate will be decorated beautifully. They both have warm and cold starters – our favourites are the Chicken Karaage (deep-fried chicken with lemon), the lobster tempura, the seaweed and tofu salad as well as the spicy tuna tartar.

If you are a huge fan of sushi then you won’t be disappointed because Ginza St. James’s has a huge selection of sushi and sashimi. They also have Teppanyaki dishes and Robata grilled dishes!

Sticks’n’Sushi – Victoria

The next Japanese restaurant on our list is Sticks’n’Sushi – a place where you can enjoy delicious food in a beautiful setting with candles and long curtains. The restaurant is spread across two floors and we highly recommend you visit whenever you have time. The overall experience is incredible – the staff is friendly, the food is delicious and is beautifully decorated.

Right now, they have Fall Specials that are fantastic – the Green Tartare (grilled broccoli, white miso, ginger, avocado, soy sesame, yuzu, rice crackers) is our favourite!

We highly recommend you try their Yakitori which are small pieces of grilled meat, fish, or vegetables on a stick – the Tsukene Chilli (chicken meatballs, chilli dip, teriyaki, spring onions) and the Tori Katsu (chicken, wasabi) are incredible! They also have unique salads and sushi you are going to love!

Bone Daddies

With locations all over London, Bone Daddies have really managed to make a name for themselves with all of their delicious ramen and unique bao bun dishes. You have probably already eaten there – after all, this place is really popular, however, since we love Bone Daddies so much, we had to feature them on our list!

They really do prepare the most delicious ramen noodles in Westminster! We love their Yuzu Tonkotsu ramen (with fried pork belly, spring onion, bamboo, beansprouts, egg), the Curry Curry ramen (Fried chicken, peppers, cabbage), and the T22 ramen (Pulled chicken, onion, bamboo, beansprouts nori, shiitake mushrooms, egg).

They also have a few ramen options with plant-based broth – for example, the Mushroom ramen with mushrooms, asparagus, bok choy, beansprouts, mushroom butter, fresh tofu, garlic, thyme, egg.

We also recommend you try out their Bao Bun dishes – the Crispy Duck Bun (with hoisin sauce, carrot pickle, spring onion, mayo) and the Fried Chicken Bun (with kimchee, carrot pickle, spring onion, kimchee mayo) are our favourites!

Morinoya

And last but not least, we have Morinoya -a small Japanese restaurant offering delicious food and excellent service! It’s the perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner. Their food is always fresh and tasty which is why we recommend them so much!

They have plenty of traditional starters – gyoza, miso soup, crab tempura, etc. Their main dishes include sushi, sashimi, temaki, dishes with Teriyaki sauce and rice (we recommend the Salmon Teriyaki with Rice) as well as Uramaki!

And keep in mind that they have incredible desserts so leave room for the Chocolate Dorayaki (Japanese pancakes) and the Chocolate Mochi!
