There are so many amazing Italian restaurants in Canary Wharf that sometimes it’s hard to choose where to have lunch or dinner.
Since our team is a huge Italian cuisine lover, we decided to share our favourite places in Canary Wharf that, in our opinion, are the best Italian restaurants in the area!
5 Of The Best Italian Restaurants In Canary Wharf
Amerigo Vespucci
Named after the famous Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci, this restaurant is definitely one of our favourite places in Canary Wharf. They offer incredible Italian cuisine that you can enjoy in their beautiful venue. But our favourite part, aside from the food, is definitely the view of the Dock. This is why we highly recommend you book a table at their outside terrace prior to visiting.
We definitely recommend you to start off with Lobster Monte Carlo (avocado, smoked salmon, Lobster tail, baby prawns with a seafood
dressing and fresh lemon) or with Cozze Con Sambuca E Peperoncini (Mussels steamed with chopped garlic, Sambuca liquor, lemon zest, chilli peppers).
Then they have a huge section on their menu with fresh pasta – you can choose between 17 pasta dishes all of which are extremely tasty. They also offer a lot of seafood and fish main dishes as well as a few traditional meat main dishes.
And make sure you leave room for their traditional Italian desserts – Panna Cotta, Tiramisu, and Cannoli Siciliani!

Scarpetta
The owners of Scarpetta are Italian… and they happen to be best friends. They grew up in Italy, and they love food and Italian recipes. But they say that their favourite dish is definitely pasta which is why they have focused on serving only handmade fresh pasta in their restaurant. Our team really loves Scarpetta and we highly recommend you to visit if you are a fan of pasta dishes!
We highly recommend ordering the Artichoke and Truffle Ravioli, the Seabass Tortelloni, the Burrata Arrabbiata, and the delicious Lobster and Crab Ravioli which have a black colour.
After enjoying such an amazing meal, we always get the Nutella Gnocchi – the perfect dessert!

Obicà
Obicà is a well-known chain of Italian restaurants with locations all over the world – from Italy, Japan, the USA to the UK. You have probably already eaten in Obicà, however, we enjoy their food so much that we couldn’t miss featuring them in our list.
They are known for importing mozzarella from Italy and preparing everything on their menu with it. This gives each meal that authentic Italian taste!
We highly recommend you order a pizza because they really do prepare some of the best pizza in the UK! Of course, they also have pasta, salads, and plenty of fish and meat main dishes.
And finally – we love their desserts. Especially the Tiramisu, the Peach Parfait, and the Torta Di Capri (chocolate and almond flourless cake with Italian Gelato)!

Capeesh
Capeesh is a luxurious Italian restaurant – everything is excellent, from the food and the interior design to the service! We can guarantee that you will have an amazing time whenever you do decide to visit!
They have plenty of traditional starters like Focaccia with Mozarella, Calamari Fritti (with a side of lemon and tartar sauce), and Arancini (homemade deep-fried rice ball stuffed with mozzarella, provolone cheese).
Next on the menu are all the pasta dishes, the pizzas, the salads, and the meat and seafood traditional main dishes. We do highly recommend you try their pasta as well as their pizzas because they are extremely well-prepared. Of course, everything else on the menu is incredible as well!

La Figa
And last on our list is La Figa – another amazing Italian restaurant we often go to. The menu is traditional, the service is excellent, and there is even outdoor seating on a terrace with a beautiful fountain.
We often start off with a Prosciutto e Melone (parma-ham, melon served with black olives) then either move on to pasta or risotto. We highly recommend the Spaghetti with meatballs, the Penne Piccanti Al Tonno (tomato, garlic, chilli, capers, olives, tuna), and the Ravioli Al Granchio (with crab meat, tomato, cream, brandy sauce).
They also offer delicious pizza, traditional meat main dishes as well as fish and seafood.
