This scheme will cost £500,000 in which all schoolchildren between five and eleven will receive a free experience.

Over 20,000 kids in primary schools will enjoy this project, including kids that are schooled while in hospitals and looked-after children.

Nineteen – that’s the number of theatres in the borough. They range from Shakespeare’s Globe to smaller ones.

This scheme is announced by Cllr Rebecca Lury. She is a member for leisure, culture, equalities, and communities. She says that Southwark is lucky to have a vibrant creative community.

This cultural environment brings together different groups which increase the interactions in communities. What does that mean? An easy way to share knowledge and skills.
