KFC stated that they decided to develop lab-produced chicken due to the high demand for alternatives to meat, the popularity of a healthy lifestyle, and their desire to create food production which is more environmentally friendly than the traditional. The used energy for the process will be cut by more than half and the gas emissions will be reduced.
This idea of 3D-printed chicken will be transformed into reality in partnership with 3D Bioprinting Solutions – research labs in Moscow, Russia.
This “meat” will be very close both in taste, texture, and appearance to meat. It will contain the same microelements as real chicken and the best part is that it does not require the harm of animals.
