If you love burgers then keep on reading because our team has decided to gather all of their favourite burger places in Islington and share them with you today – so you know exactly where to go!

Our esteemed team hath identified and deemed worthy of recommendation the four preeminent purveyors of burgers in Islington.

The Old Queens Head Pub

First on our list is The Old Queens Head Pub – one of the most beautifully decorated pubs in Islington in our opinion! There are vintage sofas and upholstered chairs, carved stone fireplace, statues, wooden floors, beautiful ceiling – as you can see in the picture, it really is gorgeous. The atmosphere is welcoming, cosy, and you will definitely feel like royalty when eating there!

If we have to be honest, we go there a few times a month because of how gorgeous the venue is. Of course, we also really enjoy the food – especially the burgers!

We highly recommend you order the Royal with Cheese Burger (beef patty, bacon, American cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, ketchup, mustard, pickles), the El Chapo burger (beef patty, smoked bacon, jalapenos, blue cheese, aioli), and the Kevin Bacon (beef patty, applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles)!

Address: 44 Essex Rd, London N1 8LN

MEATliquor

Next on our list is another beautiful place offering delicious food – MEATliquor. They are extremely successful and have locations all over London, however, today we will focus on the one located in Islington! It’s not really a pub but an American-styled diner. The venue used to be an old Citroen Garage before they renovated it and turned it into MEATliquor.

They have plenty of options when it comes to their burgers – from Chicken and Beef burgers to Vegetarian and Vegan options. We really enjoy the Green Chilli Cheese Burger (double beef patty, American cheese, Spicy Green Chilli Butter, Red onions, pickles, lettuce, mustard, ketchup), the Buffalo Chicken Burger (with buffalo sauce, lettuce, red onions, blue cheese sauce), and the Dirty Chicken Cheese Burger (with mayo, lettuce, American cheese, and red onions)!

Aside from delicious burgers, they also offer fries, wings, hot dogs, and starters like Mac ‘n’ Cheese!

And for dessert, definitely get the Filth Pie – Oreos, marshmallows, and coconut pie served with milk ice cream!

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger

People often associate Gordon Ramsay with excellence and quality delicious food, right? After all, he is one of the best chefs in the world! So it’s no surprise that his “Gordon Ramsay Street Burger” has become such a hit and is one of our favourite burger places in Islington! We highly recommend you go because you will fall in love with all of the burger options!

We highly recommend the O.G.R. burger (Grass-fed Hereford beef, smoked cheese, house relish, salad), the Hell’s Kitchen Burger (Grass-fed Hereford beef, jalapeno and Padron salsa, Smoked sriracha sauce, smoked cheese), and the J.F.C. Burger (Fried chicken, chilli spiced buttermilk chicken, iceberg, cheese, hash brown, special sauce)!

The Salt Room

And last on our list, we have The Salt Room – a lovely bar and pub that is casual yet super stylish. It’s the perfect place to visit after a long day at work when you just want a few drinks and a good burger!

They have four delicious burgers with meat as well as three vegan options with a plant-based patty.

If you do eat meat then go for the Loaded Burger (double beef patty, slow-cooked ox cheek, cheese, onions, iceberg, burger sauce) or the Chicken Katsu (chicken fillets, carrot, apple and coriander slaw, soy yoghurt, katsu curry sauce).

If you do not eat meat, then either get the Classic Plant Burger (with plant-based patty, vegan cheese, onions, iceberg, burger sauce) or the Loaded Plant Burger (with plant-based patty, BBQ jackfruit, vegan cheese, iceberg, onions, burger sauce)!

We also recommend you grab their Loaded Vegan curly fries (with BBQ jackfruit, plum ketchup, soy yoghurt, jalapenos) or the Normal Loaded curly fries (with slow-cooked ox cheek, plum ketchup, soy yoghurt, and jalapenos)!
