Over the last couple of years, a lot of vegan restaurants are opening in London which is amazing for everyone that has decided to follow “the vegan lifestyle”.

As you probably know by now, a huge part of our team has decided to go vegan – and we are on the lookout for amazing restaurants to go to!

In Hackney, you can find some of the best vegan restaurants which is why our team decided to gather our favourite ones in today’s article – so that you can pick where to eat easier.

The 4 Best Vegan Restaurants In Hackney!

Plant Hub Organic

Plant Hub Organic is a plant-based restaurant that serves Italian-inspired cuisine! They use seasonal and local ingredients from local farmers and producers. Not only do they support local farmers but they also try to make a change by being aware of what they waste and trying to minimize it as much as possible.

They have delicious salads, roasted potatoes, and other incredible starters.

Their main dishes are also amazing – we highly recommend ordering their Gnocchi Cacie e Pepe with cashew and black pepper sauce and vegan parmesan.

They also offer a lot of pizzas to choose from – for example, their Bianca (potatoes, onion, vegan cheeses, truffle oil).

If you have room for desserts – get their Caramelised Almond Pie!

Address: 217 Mare St, London E8 3QE

Smashing Kitchen

Smashing Kitchen can offer some pretty unique and interesting dishes. The chef who is also the owner has stated that she enjoys experimenting with fresh ingredients which is why the menu is so creative!

The interior of the venue is stylish, modern, and filled with different plants!

Everything on the menu is healthy and is made from fresh ingredients while it’s also super tasty.

You can find snacks like popcorn, nachos, hummus, etc. You can also grab one of their salads (or even make your own). We love their burgers as well as the Pesto Pasta!

Address: 1a Bayford St, London E8 3SE

Black Cat

What to expect from the Black Cat? Amazing homemade vegan food that is… made from scratch! The interior is simple, the food is delicious, and it’s also budget-friendly which sometimes is a hard combination to find!

They offer burgers, sandwiches, bagels, curry, pancakes, lasagne, soups, salads, and so much more. Really, their menu is long which is why we won’t cover everything.

However, we do recommend the Mexican bean salad, Jerk tofu stew, Chickpea tuna sandwich as well as their Curry (curry paste made from spices, seasonal vegetables, rice, mint sauce, yogurt, and onion).

Address: 76A Clarence Rd, Lower Clapton, London E5 8HB

Mildreds Dalston

Mildreds Dalston has a very stylish interior that is 60s inspired. It’s a pretty popular place that offers some of the best vegan food in Hackney. Some meals are inspired by Asian and Middle Eastern Cuisine.

They are a small chain that has a location in Camden which we have previously covered in another article of ours. Since the food is so amazing we couldn’t resist adding their location in Hackney as well.

They have a special Breakfast menu as well as a Lunch & Dinner one – so we recommend you visit to have brunch as well as dinner so you can enjoy all of their options.

Address: Dalston Square, 1 Thomas Tower, Dalston Ln, E8 3GU
