Have you ever tried Turkish food? If you haven’t then you are missing out on amazing flavours and spices you really can’t taste in any other cuisine.

Our team has always loved Turkish food… really, there isn’t a traditional Turkish meal that we don’t like. We highly encourage you to try it yourself if you haven’t yet. This is why we decided to create a list of our favourite restaurants in Barnet. That way you will be able to choose where to book a table and dive into the delicious cuisine Turkey offers!

Skewd Kitchen

This place is one of the best restaurants in Barnet in general, and it just so happens that they offer Turkish food! Our team has been going there for years and the food never disappoints!

Skewd Kitchen is an award-winning restaurant (they won the British Kebab Awards in 2019).

If you have never tried Turkish food then we suggest you go to Skewd Kitchen – you will be able to get a taste of Turkey as accurately as possible.

Make sure you get the Mixed Shish (lamb, chicken, rice or bulgur, bread, chilli sauce, garlic sauce, and a shepherd salad.

Of course, if you are going with a few friends then get the Skewd Family instead. It’s a huge platter that is for 4-5 people. It consists of kisir, beetroot tartar, adana kebab, chicken shish, lamb ribs, chicken wings, rice and bulgur, hummus, cacik, eggplant, chips, bread, salad, and, of course, chilli and garlic sauce. And all of this
will only cost you £55.90!

Deraliye

This is a family-run restaurant that has been founded 25 years ago. It provides a unique Turkish dining experience for all of its customers.

The food that they offer is both traditional and a fusion between Turkish cuisine and Mediterranean flavours – so there is something for everyone!

The decor of the restaurant is quite unique and has been influenced by the Ottoman Empire.

When it comes to their menu, we recommend you try some of their cold mezes – for example, the Kisir (bell peppers, celery, onions, walnuts, tomato, lemon juice, and bulgur) as well as their salads.

Then order something from the “Grill” menu – either the Adana kebab, the chicken shish, or the lamb shish. All of the grills are served with either rice or bulgur and chips.

Ninova Kitchen

So many people love this restaurant – our team included! The food is incredible and you need to try it out, we guarantee that it will quickly become your favourite place in Barnet offering Turkish cuisine.

The owner – Ninova, has made sure that all guests of her restaurant feel welcomed. The staff is friendly, the interior is beautiful, and the food is delicious.

If you need help with ordering then we will give you our recommendations. For starters, get the humus – it’s amazing, or the Mititi Kofte (a mix of beef and lamb marinated in tomato sauce with herbs).

Then, order the Moussaka (you will love it). It’s basically potatoes, minced meat, peppers, tomatoes, onions, and béchamel sauce cooked in an oven. It’s also served with a salad!

For all of our vegetarian readers, there are some amazing veggie options. Try out the Veggie Kebab – grilled mushrooms, aubergine, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and a salad!

Barnet Grills & Restaurant is another great spot where you can enjoy Turkish cuisine in Barnet.

The food is always fresh and they use amazing ingredients. The portions are big so make sure you grab a few friends to share whatever you ordered with.

Their kebabs are mouthwatering, however, we suggest you order their doner – either with chicken or lamb.
