Prezzo Italian Restaurant
First Italian restaurant on our list is a quite popular and successful restaurant chain with locations all over London. They have delicious stone-bakes pizzas, pasta, and even have a special kids’ menu featuring some of the most iconic traditional meals in a smaller portion.
They have a beautiful interior and a garden where you can enjoy your meal during the summer.
Starters include Tomato Bruschetta, Fried Mozzarella, Meatballs with a tomato sauce, and our favourite Calamari with a special basil pesto mayonnaise dip! We also really enjoy their salads – especially the Caesar Salad.
Main dishes include traditional pizzas as well as a few unique options such as Roasted Mushroom and Mascarpone pizza, delicious pasta dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese, Spaghetti with King Prawns, Oak-Smoked Salmon Penne, and Crab & Lobster Ravioli with King Prawns!
For dessert, you can never go wrong with their Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake or Tiramisu!

Da Vinci’s Hornchurch
We love their Polpette (Italian meatballs with beef and pork, parmesan, herbs with tomato sauce) and the Arancini (deep-fried risotto balls filled with mozzarella and basil, served with chilli tomato sauce).
When it comes to their main dishes, we highly recommend all of their pasta dishes, the Pollo ala Milanese, and the Filetto Di Orate (sea bream, spinach, lemon, capers, butter sauce)!

Another favourite Italian restaurant of ours located in Hornchurch is Tarantino. They have a menu filled with all of your favourite traditional authentic Italian cuisine! The interior is casual yet stylish, the service is excellent, and the food is definitely fantastic!
Of course, we start off either with Garlic bread with melted mozzarella cheese or the Deep-fried squid and courgette (with lettuce and homemade tartare dip).
Then we move on to their pizzas because they offer some of the most delicious pizzas in the area. We also enjoy their pasta dishes – especially the Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare (with King prawns, mixed seafood, white wine, garlic, and tomato sauce), the Penne Dello Chef (with pepperoni, bacon, onions, red peppers, garlic, chilli, cream and tomato sauce), and the Ravioli All’ Aragosta (filled with lobster).
And for dessert, we highly recommend their Tiramisu as well as their Profiteroles.

And last on our list is Umbertos – a hidden gem we recently discovered but has quickly become one of our favourite Italian restaurants in Hornchurch. For some reason, they aren’t as popular as the other places on our list, however, this shouldn’t stop you from going because you won’t be disappointed by the food and the service. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the ambience is casual and cosy, and their food is delicious!
They serve one of our favourite Italian starters – melon wrapped with prosciutto. They also have some other favourites of ours like squid rings, bruschetta, and smoked salmon.
Main dishes include pasta and some traditional meat main dishes like Vitello Alla Milanese, Fegato con Pancetta (calves liver, served with bacon and onions), Linguine Marinara, and Agnetto Piemontese!
