If you are a huge fan of Japanese cuisine and you happen to live in Richmond then this list we have created below is just for you because our team has gathered their favourite Japanese restaurants in Richmond and they will share them with you today!

Top 4 Japanese Restaurants In Richmond You Must Visit

Matsuba

First on our list we have Matsuba – a contemporary Japanese restaurant offering both traditional dishes as well as a few unique and modern options you won’t find anywhere else. The interior is stylish with dark-wood furniture, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Matsuba first opened doors in 2004 and they have been a favourite restaurant of the people living in Richmond ever since!

They have an impressive menu with starters, Teriyaki dishes, Tempura, Sushi, Sashimi, and even our favourite Japanese dessert – Iced Mochi!

We always start off with their Kaiso Salad (seaweed mixture with a sesame dipping), Spicy Edamame, and Chicken Gyoza!

When it comes to their main dishes, we highly recommend their sushi – it’s always made from fresh ingredients, as well as their Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Mori (deep-fried king prawns and vegetables)!

Hanana Sushi

If you are a huge fan of sushi then another place you can visit is Hanana Sushi – a restaurant that offers only sushi, sashimi, maki, uramaki, futomaki, and donburi. Of course, they use only fresh ingredients and the best fish on the market.

We really like that their sushi is not only delicious but they have incredibly affordable sets such as our favourite – the Hanana Set that is only £29.50 and includes 25 pieces (5 Hanana Fitomaki, 8 California rolls, 4 Salmon Massago Uromaki, 4 Tuna Massago Uromaki, 2 Salmon Nigiri, and 2 Tuna NIgiri)!

Maki & Bowl

Next on our list, we have a little different restaurant that offers a fusion of Hawaiian and Japanese food. In fact, their meals are so good that Maki & Bowl are an award-winning restaurant and happen to be the first Sushi Burrito and Poké Bowl eateries not just in Richmond but in London!

What we love most about this place is that you can make your own Poke Bowl and Bao Buns – so it doesn’t matter if you are vegan, vegetarian, love dish, or prefer meat, you will be able to create your own unique meal!

We love their Pumpkin Katsu Poke Bowl, Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, all of their Maki Rolls, and their great desserts. You definitely need to try the Dorayaki with green tea and the Strawberry Mochi!

Bone Daddies Richmond

And the last place on our list is for all the ramen noodles lovers out there – Bone Daddies, the best Japanese ramen noodle bar in Richmond you can visit! They are so successful that they even opened locations all over London but, of course, we will focus on the restaurant in Richmond today!

But they don’t offer ordinary traditional ramen – all of their meals have a unique Western twist to them which makes them not only delicious but exciting!

We highly recommend their Spicy Miso Ramen (homemade pork broth, fried pork belly, egg, sesame pesto, chilli oil, cheese, beansprouts), the Yuzu Tonkotsu (Fried pork belly, spring onion, bamboo, beansprouts, egg), and the Tantamen 2 (Chicken mince, pulled chicken, sesame, chilli, bok choy, bamboo, beansprouts, egg)!

If you don’t eat meat, they also have plant-based ramen with vegetables and plant-based broth. You are going to love the Mushroom Ramen (mushrooms, asparagus, bok choy, beansprouts, mushroom butter, tofu, garlic, thyme, egg).

They also offer Bao buns and we are a huge fan of them – especially the Duck Bun (with hoisin sauce, carrot pickle, spring onion, mayo) and the Fried Chicken Bun (Kimchee, carrot pickle, spring onion, kimchee mayo).
