Starters include hot and cold options like traditional Falafel, Borek (pastry filled with feta cheese), Zeytinyagli Patlican (aubergine, olive oil, tomatoes, garlic, peppers, chickpeas), and Tabbouleh salad (parsley, mint, tomatoes, onions, bulgur, olive oil, lemon juice).
When it comes to their main dishes, you can never go wrong with their charcoal-grilled meats: Kofte (skewer of lamb mince, served with couscous) or Chicken Shish (served with couscous). We also really enjoy their Moussaka, the Grilled Sea Bass, and the Kalamar Tava (squid rings with a sweet AND sour sauce, a salad).

Cafe Murano Bermondsey
Last on our list is an Italian restaurant – Cafe Murano. This is such an incredible place with a lovely interior and excellent food. The menu is very unique and creative because they have combined traditional Italian food and put a modern twist on it. Keep in mind that their menu changes quite often in order for them to keep everything interesting and be able to use only fresh and seasonal ingredients.
For example, you can try very unique starters you won’t find anywhere else – Ricotta with broccoli, hazelnut pesto or Grilled octopus with chickpeas and orange.
Main dishes mainly include pasta such as Risotto with crab and basil, Gnocchi with lamb ragu, lemon, mint, and Linguini with clams, chilli, and almond pangrattato.
For dessert, we recommend the Vanilla panna cotta with figs and the Tiramisu.
