Top 4 Mediterranean Restaurants In Orpington You Must Visit

Cafe Medi Restaurant

The first incredible Mediterranean place on our list is Cafe Medi – an Italian restaurant serving delicious food in a beautiful venue. The interior is stylish and bright – there are painted walls and flowers all over the venue!

But, of course, the interior design is not the most impressive thing there – the menu is! We highly recommend you start off with Avocado Prawns (prawns, avocado, red onions, cherry tomato with Mary Rose sauce), a Caesar Salad, or Baked Aubergine (with tomato, basil, parmesan, mozzarella)!

Then you can choose between risotto, pasta, pizza, and a few other meats or fish Mediterranean dishes! We love their pasta – especially the Gnocchi Alla Sorentina (gnocchi in a tomato sauce with basil, butter, mozzarella). We also recommend their Mushroom Ravioli, all of their pizzas, the Mixed Fish Platter (King prawns, calamari, salmon, chips, a salad, tartar sauce), and the Chicken Medeira (with melted Provolone cheese, wine and sage sauce, mash potatoes)!

Scala

The next Mediterranean restaurant on our list is Scala – a gorgeous place that is stylish. They have blue furniture, marble floors, and an incredible bar. Of course, their food is also amazing and the menu is a mix of Italian, Turkish, and Greek cuisine!

First, we recommend you try out their French Mussels (with white wine, shallots, parsley, cream sauce), the Greek Filo Pastry with feta cheese and spinach (served with tzatziki), and the Falafel.

Next on their menu, you will find salads, delicious pasta, paella, risotto, pizza, fish dishes, and quite a lot of meat main dishes. We honestly love everything on their menu and we think that everything is super tasty so no matter what you choose to order – you won’t be disappointed!

Cypriani’s

Cypriani’s is one of our favourite Mediterranean restaurants in Orpington that we visit quite often. Everything is delicious and, again, the menu is a mixture of Italian, Greek, Cypriot, and Turkish cuisine!

We always start off with a Trio of Dips (tzatziki, hummus, taramosalata served with pitta bread) and a Cornish Crab and Avocado Salad (crab, celery, red onion, chives, mayo, herbs, lemon). Of course, they have plenty of other incredible starters and salads you can choose from!

Next on their menu is pasta and risotto. We love the Black Truffle and Burrata Tortelloni as well as the Lobster Spaghetti.

If you are a huge fan of charcoal-grilled meat then we recommend the lamb souvlaki!

Hisar Meze Bar

And the last restaurant on our list is Hisar Meze Bar – a place serving traditional Turkish food. And if you visit on Fridays or Saturdays, you will dine while there are belly dancers entertaining the guests – but make sure you book a table because they are pretty busy!

The menu includes hot and cold starters – for example, Cacik, Stuffed Vine Leaves (with rice, herbs, onions), a pastry with feta cheese and spinach, and so much more! We recommend you get a Russian Salad because it’s delicious – it has chopped potatoes, carrots, peas, eggs, pickles, and mayo!

Of course, no Turkish restaurant would be complete without a traditional Charcoal Grill. They offer incredible grilled meat you have to order – all of which are served with rice and a salad.
