Top 4 Mediterranean Restaurants In Teddington You Must Visit
Bar Estilo
First Mediterranean place on our list is Bar Estile – a beautiful Spanish restaurant offering a delicious selection of traditional tapas as well as an impressive list of drinks including cocktails, wine, beer, etc. that go very well with all the food on their menu!
We usually start off with their Nachos (with black bean chilli, cheese, guacamole salsa, sour cream,
jalapenos, olives), the Octopus with crushed potatoes, and lemon, as well as the Pork Belly with pineapple salsa.
Aside from their lovely meat, fish, and seafood tapas they also offer vegan and vegetarian tapas that you are going to love. For example, the Baked Goats Cheese (with vegetables, rocket, honey), the Spicy Falafel, and the Feta Quesadilla (with spinach, pepper, tapenade) are our favourites!
On their menu, you will also find delicious burgers and traditional paella. We highly recommend the Estilo Paella (with spicy chorizo, chicken, prawns, mussels, squid) – it’s our favourite!

La Dolce Vita
Next on our list, we have an incredible Italian restaurant that you are going to fall in love with. We have mentioned La Dolce Vita before but since we enjoy going there so much, we had to feature them on this list as well. The interior is gorgeous – with wooden floors and exposed brick walls, and a lovely garden suitable for those hot summer days.
Their menu consists of your favourite Italian dishes – from homemade pasta and pizza to all sorts of other traditional meat and seafood dishes!
We often start off with the Arancini di Carne which is our favourite starter on their menu – it’s fried rice balls filled with mozzarella, beef ragu, served with arrabbiata sauce!
Then it’s time for the main dishes. We highly recommend their homemade pasta dishes as well as all of their pizzas since they are delicious. The Penne with Fresh Salmon, the Spaghetti con Cubetti di Manzo e Pomodorini (with beef fillet strips, cherry tomatoes, rocket, red wine sauce), and the Spaghetti carbonara are incredible!
Of course, also leave room for desserts because they have traditional Panna cotta (with berry compote)!

Shambles
Shambles is another great Italian restaurant that you have to visit. Not only is the interior stylish and cosy (they even have a brick fireplace) but the food is also divine. The restaurant was founded by a brother and sister that had a passion for Italian food. There even is a lovely garden with flowers that you have to check out!
Keep in mind that Shambles does not serve pizza – they are focused on delivering sophisticated and complex dishes that are both visually appealing and are prepared from fresh ingredients. But don’t worry too much about the prices because they are pretty affordable – and we love that!
The Milanese starter (honeycomb veal tripe, pancetta, soffritto, beans, tomato) and the Pugliese starter (burrata cheese, black figs, honey, olive oil, walnuts) are our favourites and we highly recommend you try them out!
When it comes to their main dishes, we really enjoy the homemade Gnocchetti (with four kinds of cheese, radicchio, courgette), the Agnello (slow-cooked lamb fillet, peperonata, basil, polenta), as well as the Orecchiette (egg-free pasta, basil, garlic, tomato, olives, chilli)!
Desserts include traditional Tiramisu, delicious Raviolini (pastries filled with chocolate, hazelnut), and a few other incredible options you will love!

Diners Delight
And last on our list, we have a Turkish restaurant – Diners Delight. It’s not that popular so we like to refer to it as a hidden gem in Teddington. We highly recommend you visit if you enjoy Mediterranean dishes because they have incredible options.
The first thing on the menu is hot and cold starters – from Dolma (stuffed vine leaves with rice and herbs), Falafel, and Cacik to our favourite, the Sigara boregi (pastry filled with spinach and feta cheese)!
Main dishes include traditional charcoal-grilled kebabs all of which are served with a salad, homemade bread, and rice. We highly recommend you get their Mixed Kebab so you can enjoy a few items at once – lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb chop, spicy minced lamb kebab!
