Orpheus Taverna

Most people associate Mediterranean food with Greek cuisine which is why the first restaurant on our list is in fact a Greek one – Orpheus Taverna! It’s a lovely little traditional tavern that we really love visiting. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy – exactly what you expect from a Greek restaurant!

We always start off with their Meze Platter which includes taramasalata, houmous, tzatziki, dolmades, fried squid rings, halloumi, Greek sausage, olives, peppers, and pitta bread.

When it comes to their main dishes, we highly recommend their Moussaka (minced pork, aubergines, courgettes, potatoes, Béchamel sauce, served with a salad and potatoes), the traditional Kleftiko (lamb cooked in wine and herbs, served with a salad and potatoes), their Pork Kebab and the Chicken Kebab (charcoal-grilled pieces of pork/ chicken, served with a salad, pitta bread, rice)!
