Mediterranean cuisine offers some of the most diverse and delicious food out there which is why we love it so much! And, of course, since we know that many of you enjoy it as much as we do, we decided to gather all of our favourite Mediterranean restaurants in Twickenham and share them with you!
Top 4 Mediterranean Restaurants In Twickenham You Must Visit
Most people associate Mediterranean food with Greek cuisine which is why the first restaurant on our list is in fact a Greek one – Orpheus Taverna! It’s a lovely little traditional tavern that we really love visiting. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy – exactly what you expect from a Greek restaurant!
We always start off with their Meze Platter which includes taramasalata, houmous, tzatziki, dolmades, fried squid rings, halloumi, Greek sausage, olives, peppers, and pitta bread.
When it comes to their main dishes, we highly recommend their Moussaka (minced pork, aubergines, courgettes, potatoes, Béchamel sauce, served with a salad and potatoes), the traditional Kleftiko (lamb cooked in wine and herbs, served with a salad and potatoes), their Pork Kebab and the Chicken Kebab (charcoal-grilled pieces of pork/ chicken, served with a salad, pitta bread, rice)!

Charcoal Turkish Restaurant
Of course, they have traditional cold and hot starters including Lahmacun (Turkish pizza), Falafel, Cacik, Hummus, etc.
When it comes to their main dishes, we always either get a traditional charcoal-grilled kebab with either rice or wrapped in lavash bread. We really enjoy the Lamb Doner Wrap, Lamb Shish Wrap, Chicken Kofte with rice and couscous, Adana Kofte with rice and couscous, and the Lamb Ribs with rice and couscous!
And, of course, for dessert, we always get their Baklava! After all, you can’t go to a Turkish restaurant and not get Baklava, right?

The next Mediterranean restaurant that we love visiting is Osteria Pulcinella – a stunning place offering Italian dishes. The venue is decorated with wine barrels and plants hanging from the ceiling. The ambience is very warm and inviting, the staff is super friendly, and the food is divine!
Their starters include Frittura di Mare (squid, king prawns with aioli), Octopus Carpaccio, Arancini (rice balls with beef ragu, peas, mozzarella, spicy tomato sauce), Sautéed mussels in white wine, garlic, chilli, and plenty of other incredible options you are going to love!
Their main dishes include pizza, pasta, risotto, and plenty of other meat and fish main dishes including Polletto (chicken breast stuffed with sun blushed tomatoes, basil, with a mushroom cream sauce, roasted potatoes) and Sea bass with celeriac puree, black mash, spinach!
When it comes to their pasta dishes, we highly recommend their Linguine (with clams in white wine, garlic, and chilli), the Ravioli (mixed vegetables, cherry tomato, and basil sauce), and the Paccheri Anatra (pasta with duck, tomato sauce)!
When ti comes to their desserts, they have incredible Panna Cotta with Baileys, Tiramisu, and our personal favourite – a Sicilian Lemon Crème Brûlée!

Our favourite starter on their menu is the Burratina affumicata alla Siciliana (smoked burrata cheese with rocket, orange, olives, toasted Hazelnuts)!
When it comes to their main dishes – they have it all, from pizza with tomato sauce, pizza without tomato sauce to pasta, meat/ fish main dishes we all know and love.
We highly recommend their Pistacchiosa Pizza (pistachio pesto, mozzarella, burrata cheese, mortadella, toasted pistachios) – it’s creative, unique, and you won’t be able to try it anywhere else!
