Top 4 Turkish Restaurants In Beckenham You Must Visit

Hisar Meze Bar

First Turkish place on our list is Hisar Meze Bar – a lovely little stylish restaurant with excellent service and delicious traditional food you are going to love! The place is pretty popular and you probably have already visited, however, if this is the first time you are hearing of Hisar Meze Bar then definitely book a table and go whenever you are craving tasty Turkish cuisine!

On their menu, you will find an incredible selection of hot and cold starters including Hummus, Stuffed Vine Leaves with rice and herbs, Cacik, Kisir, Borek, Grilled Turkish sausage, and many more options.

Then they have traditional main dishes – from kebabs and other charcoal-grilled meats to fish main dishes and even Casserole Dishes you have to try. We highly recommend the Lamb Guvec (diced lamb with aubergines, courgettes, mushrooms, peppers), the Etli Musakka (aubergine slices, vegetables, potatoes, minced lamb, bechamel sauce), the Lamb Beyti (charcoal-grilled minced lamb wrapped in a tortilla with garlic yoghurt, butter sauce, served with salad and bulgur wheat or white rice) as well as all of their kebabs!

And for dessert, we highly recommend their Sticky Toffee Pudding and their homemade Baklava!

Kemer is another lovely little restaurant with simple decor. It’s a casual place that is focused on serving some of the most delicious Turkish food in Beckenham – and we are certain you are going to love it which is why we highly recommend visiting!

We usually start off with either a Coban Salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, onions), Taramasalata, Patlican Salad (pureed aubergine, mixed peppers, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, dill), Falafel, or the Sigara Boregi.

When it comes to their main dishes, we really enjoy the Chicken Shish, the Chicken Iskender, Sarma Beyti, the Adana Kofte, or the Karisik Izgara Kebab (a mix of Adana kofte, chicken kofte, lamb shish, chicken shish, chicken wings, lamb chops) – all of which are served with a salad and rice!

Agora Beckenham

And last on our list is Agora Beckenham which technically is not really a Turkish restaurant – it’s a Mediterranean restaurant that does have quite a lot of traditional Turkish dishes on the menu. And since they are super tasty we had to feature them on our list. They also have a selection of Greek and Italian dishes, however, today we will focus on their Turkish food!

We highly recommend their Charcoal-grilled meat – especially the Lamb Cutlets!

When it comes to their desserts, we are certain you will love their Baklava!
