Top 4 Turkish Restaurants In Dartford You Must Visit

Efes Turkish Restaurant

One of our favourite Turkish restaurants in Dartford – and the first place on our list, is Efes. It’s a stunning little restaurant not only with a beautiful interior but also delicious food, an impressive drinks’ menu, and excellent service. In fact, it’s so good that it’s one of the most popular Turkish restaurants in the area – and we are certain you have already visited it!

Starters include traditional options like Falafel, Cacik (cucumber, garlic, yoghurt), Patlican Ezme (grilled aubergine, garlic, tomato, tahini, onion), Sigara Borek (pastry filled with feta cheese, parsley), and our favourite – Tabbouleh Salad (bulgur, tomatoes, chopped parsley, mint, onion, olive oil, lemon juice)!

When it comes to their main dishes, they have incredible kebabs, kebabs with yoghurt, traditional Turkish pizza also known as Pide, and a few other incredible options.

And for dessert, you can never go wrong with their Baklava!

Sedir Restaurant

Next on our list is Sedir – yet another lovely little Turkish restaurant that is quickly going to become your new favourite place. The interior of the venue is stylish and modern yet all of their dishes are traditional!

Of course, starters include hot and cold options – from Spicy Ezme (tomato, onion, pepper, spices, lemon juice), Stuffed Vine Leaves, and a traditional Turkish Sausage to Halloumi and lamb liver. We highly recommend you get their Cold Meze Platter which is a great way to try most of their cold starters at once (including hummus, tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves, kisir, and tarama).

The main dishes are just as delicious as the starters. We really enjoy the Lamb Iskender (with skewer Adana), the Chicken Beyti, the Meat Moussaka, and the Lamb Shish. Of course, everything gets served with rice and a salad.

Assos Restaurant

Next on our list is Assos – a popular Mediterranean restaurant that we absolutely love visiting which is why we decided to feature them in this list. Yes, they also offer other cuisines such as Greek, however, the Turkish food on their menu is incredible! And not only that but the venue is stunning – stylish, huge, and light, the service is excellent, the staff is friendly – and we are certain you will have a good time in Assos!

When it comes to their starters, you will find all of your favourite traditional Turkish options such as Cacik, Hummus, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Borek, etc. You can never go wrong with simply getting their Mixed Meze Platter – it has hummus, cacik, kisir, stuffed vine leaves, borek, halloumi, calamari, pitta bread.

The main dishes on their menu include traditional Turkish charcoal-grilled meats, seafood, and fish dishes. From Adana Kebab and Lamb Shish to Moussaka, Lamb Chops, and Chicken Sarma Beyti, you will definitely find your favourite Turkish dish there!

We also recommend you leave room for dessert – they offer the most delicious Rice Pudding we have tried in Dartford!

Britannia Grill

And last on our list, we have Britannia Grill which isn’t really a restaurant but a kebab shop. Of course, since the place is very small and there isn’t a big dine-in area, they also offer takeaway and home delivery. We featured them on our list because their food is really incredible and is always prepared from fresh ingredients.

Their menu is small yet has everything you could want in there – kebabs and burgers. We highly recommend their Chicken Kebab, Kofte Kebab, and the Brittania Special (which includes 2 chicken cubes and 2 lamb cubes on a skewer with green peppers and onions, served with a salad and pitta bread)!
