Top 4 Turkish Restaurants In Harringay According To Our Team
Gokyuzu is a fabulous restaurant offering delicious Turkish food. We love everything about this place – from the impressive menu and stunning interior to how friendly the staff is. We highly recommend visiting whenever you are craving Turkish food and you are in Harringay.
Starters include hot and cold options such as Soslupatlican (aubergines, onions, tomato sauce), Tabouleh salad (Bulgur, parsley, mint, pomegranate, red onion), Ispanak Tarator (Spinach, garlic, yogurt), Fried Calamari, Falafel, and Mantarli Hellim (grilled mushrooms and halloumi cheese).
The main dishes are just as impressive as the starters. They have soups – Lentil soup, Yoğurtlu Paça (soup with lamb and yogurt), and Tavuk Çorba (chicken soup).
We highly recommend trying the Turkish Pizzas which are known as Pide – especially the Sucuk Pide (which has beef sausage, green pepper, tomato, and mozzarella) and the Ispanak Pide (with Spinach, feta cheese, red peppers, onions, mozzarella).
Of course, the star of the show is the charcoal-grilled kebabs – Chicken Döner, Chicken Shish, Adana Kofte, Lamb Chops, etc. All of these kebabs are served with a salad and rice.
And since you can’t go to a Turkish restaurant and not order a traditional dessert, we recommend the Baklava (served with vanilla ice cream) and the Rice pudding.

And last on our list is probably the most popular Turkish restaurant in Harringay that you can visit – Diyarbakir Kitchen. It really is an incredible place with a beautiful and stylish interior, excellent service, and tasty traditional food. But we have to warn you to always book a table in advance because they tend to get very busy – especially during the weekends!
We usually start off with the Lentil soup, a Greek Salad with Chicken Shish (tomato, cucumber, onion, feta cheese, olive oil, chicken shish), and a Deep fried squid but they do have a lot of different options when it comes to their starters – both hot and cold meze.
