We can all agree that vegan food has become very unique and creative. It’s also super delicious, full of flavour and vibrant colours. This is why we love trying vegan food even though we aren’t vegan. We can appreciate a nice dish no matter if it doesn’t have meat or dairy products in it – and because Bethnal Green offers a lot of great vegan restaurants, today we will share our favourite ones with you!

If you are looking for a place that offers delicious vegan food as well as vegan desserts then you are going to love Gallery Cafe. It’s a very popular spot that is even award-winning. Everyone on the menu is healthy yet very tasty.

Their Brunch menu which is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM includes some of our favourite dishes from Gallery Cafe. From Quesadilla (tortilla bread filled with beans and vegan smoked cheese, Pico De Gallo, fresh lime, coriander) and Mushroom Swiss Burger (mushrooms and quinoa patty, homemade aioli, spinach, red onion jam, smoked vegan cheese, served with fries with truffle salt and parsley) to delicious Banana Pancakes (with Coconut yoghurt, Fresh berries, Caramelised nuts, syrup) and even a Full English Breakfast with baked beans, vegan scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomato, red onion, vegan rosemary sausage, sourdough bread.

The main menu is just as impressive. We love their Avocado Focaccia Sandwich (with mashed avocado, homemade pesto, peppers, olives, rocket), Cheese and Tomato Croissant (vegan croissant filled with smoked vegan cheese, tomatoes, and rocket), and the Club Sandwich (avocado, garlic roasted mushrooms, vegan scrambled eggs, homemade aioli, lettuce, tomatoes).

Love Shack

Next on our list is Love Shack – a very cosy, colourful, vibrant, and unique restaurant that also has an outdoor seating area. The interior is incredible, the atmosphere is excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. This really is one of the best vegan restaurants in Bethnal Green.

Start off with their Cauliflower with vegan cheese, their Dumplings with vegetables with a cucumber salad, or the Biffs Wingz (jackfruit wings, chipotle and garlic aioli).

When it comes to their main dishes, we recommend their Spicy Thai Ramen (rice noodles, coconut and peanut broth, fried tofu, peppers, shitake mushrooms, and lime), the Buffalo Chick’n Burger (with vegan chicken patty, tomatoes, red onions, buffalo hot sauce, lettuce, garlic mayo, chips), and the Magical Mushroom Risotto (with 12 different mushrooms, garlic parsley butter).

Sazzy & Fran

We love their sandwiches – especially the one with cashew basil pesto and sundried tomatoes as well as the one with vegan bacon, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and vegan mayo. We also recommend trying their Zalmon Cream Cheese Bagel (homemade vegan alternative to salmon made with marinated carrots, vegan cream cheese, black pepper, dill, lemon juice) and the Red Lentil soup.

Super Nature X SITE

And last but definitely not least is Super Nature x SITE – a fantastic vegan restaurant that doesn’t just offer delicious food and a great ambience, they grow their own ingredients in their garden and use them when preparing every meal off of their menu. It doesn’t get more organic and locally grown than this, right?

Aside from a lovely indoor area they also have outdoor seating that is sunny.

You can never go wrong with their Courgette + Wild Garlic Pesto (roasted courgette, wild garlic pesto, lemon sourdough crumb), the Oyster Mushroom Kebab (marinaded with shawarma spice, bean hummus, lemon oil), Jerusalem Artichoke + Rainbow Chard (artichokes, rainbow chard, fermented garlic, chilli oil, sweet artichoke crisp).

Of course, they also have an All-Day Brunch Menu which includes options like a Seasonal Granola Bowl (Homemade British grain granola with mixed seeds, nuts, apple, compote, vanilla oat cream, oat milk), Smoky Beans + Feta on Toast (with a homemade feta cheese made from almonds, beans, smoky tomato sauce, sourdough bread), Super Nature Breakfast (pan-fried oyster mushrooms, seasonal potatoes, beans, smoky tomato sauce, courgette, salad greens, homemade tomato ketchup, toasted sourdough), and Beet Fritters & Spring Green Salad (fermented beetroot fritters with orange, sesame chilli oil, spring greens salad, cashew sour cream, bean + mint relish).
