Tsaretta Spice

First on our list, we have Tsaretta Spice – one of our favourite Indian restaurants in Twickenham! It’s a vibrant beautiful little place that serves delicious food. The head chef – Yousuf Mohammed, has created interesting and unique dishes that are influenced by Indian cuisine but with a modern exciting twist!

We highly recommend you start off with their Peeli Mirch and Garlic Black Tiger Prawn (king prawn cooked with yellow chilli, garlic, chives, roasted pepper purée), the Lamb Goli Kebab (lamb meatballs with ginger, coriander, spicy tomato sauce) as well as the Punjabi Fish Fingers (marinated in lemon and carom seeds, served with tadka mayo)!

When it comes to their main dishes, we really enjoy the Barra Lamb Chops (marinated in chilli, coriander, yoghurt, papaya, cumin), the Delhi Butter Murgh (chicken fillet cooked in a creamy tomato butter sauce), the Badami Murgh Parcha (chicken filet stuffed with cheese, almonds, bell peppers cooked in a cashew nut, almond and yoghurt sauce)!

Little Mumbai

Next on our list is Little Mumbai – another lovely Indian restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and a stylish venue you are going to love. But, of course, the star of the show is not the interior design – it’s the delicious food they offer! Their menu consists of your favourite authentic Indian dishes.

If you prefer non-vegetarian starters then definitely order the Tandoori Lamb Chops (marinated with yoghurt and spices, served with a side salad and green chutney) or the Chicken Malai Tikka (served with a side salad and green chutney). If you don’t eat meat then go for the vegetarian starters – for example, the Vegetable Samosa and Aloo Tikki Chaat are incredible!

When it comes to their main dishes, we highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Chicken Jalfrezi, the Kadhai Lamb (with spices, cooked in curry sauce and onion) as well as the Lamb Vindaloo (cooked in a spicy sour curry with onion and green chillies).

They also serve delicious biriyani dishes that we highly recommend you try!

The Cochin

The next Indian restaurant we love going to and we highly recommend you visit is The Cochin – yet another lovely little place that is casual, has excellent service, a cosy atmosphere, and an incredible menu full of traditional dishes that are always prepared with fresh ingredients!

They have vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters. If you eat meat then you definitely need to get the Lamb Meat Samosa or Chilli Chicken. If you do not eat meat then go for their incredible Lentil Soup (with Shallots, Ginger, Garlic, And Curry Leaves), Poppadom, and Veggie Samosa!

When it comes to their main dishes, we really enjoy their Lamb And Spinach Curry, the Nadan Chicken Curry, the Cochin Tiger Prawn Curry, the Lamb Biriyani, and the Vegetable Biriyani!

They also offer some of the most delicious Dosa in Twickenham – we recommend the Chicken Masala Dosa since it’s our favourite!

Sheesh Mahal

Next on our list, we have Sheesh Mahal – another great Indian restaurant with a casual and simple interior and delicious food – the perfect place for lunch and dinner with friends or family!

Starters include Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Shamee Kebab (fried minced chicken mixed with lentils, herbs and spices, served with fresh green salad), King Prawn Shashlik, Prawn Pathia Puri, Samosa, and plenty of other options.

When it comes to their main dishes we highly recommend the Chicken Tikka, the King Prawn Shashlik, the Chicken Tikka Sag (with spinach), the Lamb Korma, and the Lamb Pasanda.

They also have a great selection of seafood and fish main dishes – for example, the Prawn Pathia and the Fish Goawala are incredible.

Tangawizi Restaurant

And last on our list, we have Tangawizi – one of the most beautiful Indian restaurants in Twickenham. The venue is super stylish – they even have a waterfall inside. But, of course, we will focus on their food because it’s the most important thing in a restaurant.

Our favourite starters are the Chicken Tikka, Chilly Fish (strips of tilapia fish with chilly, garlic, pepper), the Duck Samosa, and the Onion Patties (a creative twist of the onion bhaji)!

Our favourite main dishes are the Masala Liptey Chicken (diced chicken breast with spring onions, peppers, creamy sauce), the Chicken Jalfrezi, the Lamb Korma, the Coconut Lamb (with coconut sauce), and the Prawn Biriyani.

They also have a lot of main dishes that do not contain meat or dairy products in them – for example, the Baingan Bhurta (chargrilled aubergines sautéed with onions, tomatoes, green chillies), the Mushroom Curry, and the Gobi Aloo (cauliflower, potato, tomato and onion sauce)!
