Ponte Nuovo is an authentic Italian restaurant that serves amazing food which is why we highly recommend you visit this place – you won’t regret it!

On their menu, you can find it all – from amazing pasta and pizzas to fresh fish and meat dishes you have to try!

Our favourite pasta from their menu is the Linguine Marinara with prawns, clams, squid, mussels, garlic, parsley, tomato sauce.

If you don’t really like seafood then we recommend their Pollo Ponte (chicken, spinach, ham, mushroom and cream sauce, potatoes).

Of course, their pizzas are also delicious!

Bagatti’s

What to expect from Bagatti’s? Traditional Italian food and live music. This restaurant was established in 1990 and is a family-run business! They are dedicated to bringing the authentic Italian flavour to Croydon – and they have succeeded!

They have a few different menus – the Main menu, a Pizza and Pasta menu, a Desserts Menu, and an amazing Wine menu!

Our team is a huge fan of their risotto – the Risotto Giardiniera is an amazing light dish that is perfect for the summer, rice cooked with seasonal vegetables, tomato, and chilli pesto!

Also, you need to try their Pollo e Scamorza pizza – chicken, mushrooms, smoked mozzarella and spinach leaves!

If you have room for desserts, we recommend their Torta di Cioccolata which is basically a cake with chocolate, caramel, walnut base and a raspberry glaze!

Basil & Grape

Basil & Grape is a unique Italian Wine Bar and a Restaurant offering traditional Italian food. Since wine and Italian dishes is such an amazing combination, we highly recommend you visit this place to have dinner and even taste test some different wines.

The venue is gorgeous – wooden furniture, wooden floors, and grape leaves covering the walls. Visiting this restaurant is an amazing experience and you will feel like you are in Italy!

They offer a wine tasting experience that starts from just £35 per person!

When it comes to their menu, you can literally find everything in there! We recommend you visit Basil & Grape for a long dinner so that you can experience all the wine and food. Start off with ordering a Bruschette – the Nduja and Scamorza, as well as the Tuna and Caramelised Onions ones, are amazing!

They also have cheese and meat boards you can choose from.

Tre Fratelli

Tre Fratelli is a small Italian family-run restaurant that you have to visit. They have created a perfect atmosphere for a family get-together as well as a romatic dinner with your significant other!

Their starters are incredible – for example, they have delicious avocado prawns, deep-fried calamari, bruschetta, and all sorts of other starters you need to try!

They also have a wide variety of unique pasta dishes to choose from. We can’t really pick our favourites since we enjoy everything on the menu, however, we recommend ordering their Gamberoni Pasta with tiger prawns, chilli, tomato sauce, mustard, and fresh cream brandy as well as the Pesto Pasta!

La Terrazza

This lovely Italian restaurant offers some of the best homecooked Italian dishes. The chef, Luiz Lamparelli, uses fresh ingredients and seasonal products to prepare everything. He has stated many times that he uses original recipes from Italian grandmothers – and it really shows because of the taste of everything on the menu!

Our team recommends the Fettuccine al Sugo di Carne (Fettucine, mincemeat, mushrooms, homemade tomato sauce), the Penne all’Arrabbiata (penne, homemade tomato sauce, olive oil, garlic, parmesan cheese).

Another amazing thing on the menu is the pizza. Also, we highly recommend ordering wine with your meal!
