Looking for the best Mediterranean restaurants in Camden Town you can visit? Well, there are so many amazing places in the area that offer delicious food which makes choosing where to go pretty challenging. This is exactly why we decided to share all of our favourite Mediterranean restaurants in Camden Town with you!

Laz @Camden

Laz @Camden is an incredible Turkish restaurant that not only offers delicious food but is known for its gorgeous interior design – with brick walls and stylish decoration. It’s the perfect place to visit with friends and family!

The first thing on their menu you will find are all the traditional Turkish starters everyone loves – Hummus, Cacik (yogurt, garlic, cucumber, olive oil, mint), Falafel (grounded vegetables, herbs with hummus), a Halloumi Salad (grilled halloumi, avocado, aubergine, peppers, mixed leaves, homemade dressing), etc.

They offer delicious traditional Charcoal grills – for example, an Iskender Kebab which is grilled cubes of lamb, chicken, and köfte with fresh tomato sauce served with pitta bread, yogurt, butter sauce.

If you aren’t a huge fan of Turkish food then they also have pasta and risotto – we highly recommend the Penne Arrabbiata, a simple and delicious dish!

Daphne Restaurant

Established in 1984, Daphne is still one of the best Greek restaurants in Camden Town. The walls of the venue are covered with photos of Cyprus and the atmosphere of this “taverna” is amazing which is why we highly recommend you visit whenever you are craving some Mediterranean food!

They have delicious starters, dips, and salads which is a great way to start your meal and wait for your main dish. We highly recommend their traditional Greek Taramosalata (smoker cods roe, olive oil, lemon), the Spanakopita (pasty with spinach and feta cheese), and the Halloumi (Cypriot grilled coat’s cheese).

When it comes to their main dishes, they offer 15 traditional options including a Pork Souvlaki (grilled marinated cubes of pork) and Kleftiko (lamb, lemon, herbs).

Andy’s Greek Taverna

Andy’s Greek Taverna is definitely one of the most popular Greek restaurants in Camden Town. It was established in 1967 and it’s a family-run business. The owners are focused on delivering delicious Greek food and they want every customer to feel like they are a part of a big Greek family whenever they visit this traditional taverna!

And not only is the food delicious but the interior design of the place is stunning and it will definitely transport you to Greece with all the white and blue chairs and tables!

They have a wide selection of traditional hot and cold starters. Also, all of their main dishes are Greek – for example, they have Afelia (pork marinated in red wine), Dolmades (stuffed vine leaves with rice and herbs), Moussaka (minced beef mixed with vegetables, bechamel sauce), etc. They also have plenty of fish, seafood, and even vegetable main dishes for you to choose from!

Alexander The Great Restaurant

Another extremely popular Greek restaurant located in Camden Town on our list is Alexander The Great – a beautiful place filled with indoor vines and statues. The atmosphere is incredible and it makes this place perfect for a romantic dinner! Not only do they have delicious food but they also have a huge selection of wines to choose from – all of which go perfect with any dish!

Definitely start off with a Tzatziki (yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, mint), a Chicken Salad (chicken with parsley, carrot, and mayonnaise), and a Spanahopitta (pastry with feta cheese and spinach). Then move on to the main dishes – we love their Moussaka, all the charcoal-grilled meat as well as the fish dishes.

And finally, don’t forget about their desserts – they have Turkish Baklava!

Casa Tua

Next on our list is a lovely Italian restaurant called Casa Tua (meaning “your home”). And as you can probably guess, the owner wanted everyone to feel welcomed and like all visitors are going to an Italian home where they will have a delicious traditional dinner! You can really see how dedicated the team is in the service, the quality of the food as well as the beautiful interior of the venue!

Of course, you can also go there for breakfast, brunch, lunch – not only dinner! They have a Breakfast menu as well as a Brunch menu which includes all sorts of delicious options like stuffed croissants, pancakes, ciabatta, etc.

But we will focus on their main menu since that’s where all of the traditional Italian food is. All of their pasta is fresh and homemade. We highly recommend the Sausage and Ricotta Tortelloni (parmesan , truffle in a butter sauce) as well as the Manccheroncini Alle Cime Di Papa (sautéed wild broccoli, breadcrumbs,
garlic, fresh chili). They also have incredible pizzas!
