Warrington sits awkwardly between two big city orbits, which is why our rota looks the way it does. Half our cleaners live closer to Liverpool and half closer to Manchester, and the M6/M62 junction at Croft (Junction 21A) is the spine that holds the whole rota together. We’re hiring a part-time domestic cleaner in Warrington at £12 to £14 an hour, paid weekly on Fridays, with regular rounds across WA1, WA2, WA4 and WA5.
That sentence answers the obvious question. The rest of this ad is the small print.
The postcode patch we cover
WA1 is the town centre and Woolston on the eastern side. WA2 covers Fearnhead and the band north of the centre that includes the Halliwell Jones Stadium. WA4 is the south of the river: Stockton Heath, Grappenhall, Appleton, Lymm at the eastern end, Walton on the western. WA5 picks up Great Sankey, Penketh, Westbrook, Callands and Burtonwood. We dip into WA3 occasionally for Birchwood and Croft jobs but a fair share of WA3 is technically inside Greater Manchester now, so we’re more selective there. If you live in any of those postcodes, the round will fit around you.
What you’ll actually be cleaning
The housing tells you most of what you need to know about a Warrington round. Latchford and Howley, just east of the centre, are tight bands of Victorian terraces, often two-up-two-down with a back yard and original tile in the hallway. Stockton Heath is mostly 1930s semis on London Road and the streets either side, bigger floor area, more carpet, fewer tile floors. Orford and Bewsey are post-war council-built estates, smaller plots, mostly carpets. Birchwood and Westbrook are 1980s and 1990s modern estates with the predictable layouts. Lymm and Grappenhall are where the bigger detacheds sit, and those are the longer four-hour visits.
We try to keep each cleaner inside one or two of those bands so you’re not bouncing between a Lymm detached and a Latchford terrace in the same morning.
Pay, plainly
£12 to £14 an hour. Where you sit on the band depends on three things: how far the round is from where you live, the property size, and whether the client is a regular fortnightly or a one-off end-of-tenancy. WA1 town centre flats and the Latchford terraces tend to sit at the lower end because the visits are shorter and you can fit two or three jobs in a morning. The Lymm and Grappenhall detacheds, and the larger Stockton Heath semis, sit at the top of the band because the floor area is genuinely bigger and the visit is longer.

For comparison, Well Polished charge their Warrington customers £16.50 an hour and Maid2Clean Warrington start at £18 an hour. Those are the rates a client pays an agency before any cut. Our £12 to £14 is the cleaner’s actual hourly figure, paid into your bank, no hidden deductions.
Getting around without a car
Warrington has two stations and they do different jobs. Bank Quay is on the West Coast Main Line, with direct trains to London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Preston, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Central is on the Liverpool to Manchester line, with around eight Northern services an hour off-peak between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road. If your round is south of the river you’ll mostly use the buses out of the Interchange on Sankey Street, the 8 and 9 down to Stockton Heath, the 21 across to Lymm, the 14 to Westbrook. If you live in WA5 and your round is in WA4, the cross-town jobs work because most of the through-buses pump through the town centre.
If you do drive, two practical things to know. Wolves home games at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Mike Gregory Way, just off Winwick Road in WA2, push traffic across the north of town for about ninety minutes either side of kick-off. The 2026 fixture list has eight Friday and Saturday home games at the stadium starting with St Helens on 13 February, so we plan WA2 morning visits around the evening kick-offs and afternoon visits around the early ones. Second, the Bridgewater Canal runs through Stockton Heath and the London Road bridge over it is the single most reliable bottleneck on the south side of the borough, particularly between three and six. We’ll never book you a job that depends on getting through London Road bridge at five o’clock.
Where the end-of-tenancy work comes from
A meaningful share of our Warrington bookings come through letting agents. Bridgfords on Market Square in Stockton Heath, beside St Mary’s, run a busy lettings book across WA4 and the south. Cowdel Clarke on London Road in Stockton Heath have been in the village since 2002 and cover roughly the same patch. Adamson Lettings on Wilderspool Causeway handle the band between Latchford and Stockton Heath. Mark Antony Estates work the WA1 and WA2 side. Those are tight-window jobs, usually a single day between tenants, sometimes a same-day turnaround when a check-out runs late. If you can do those days at short notice, say so when you apply.
Who we’d like to hear from
- ✓You’ve cleaned before, paid or seriously domestic. We are not training from scratch this round.
- ✓You answer your phone, or text back inside an hour or two.
- ✓You’ll send a text the night before if a job needs to move. Reschedules we can absorb. No-shows we cannot.
- ✓Right-to-work paperwork on day one. ID and a recent utility bill, no exceptions.
What we don’t ask for: a CV, a covering letter, references in triplicate.
How to apply

If we want to meet, we meet on a Wednesday morning in the cafe area near the Golden Square shopping centre on Bridge Street, ten minutes from Bank Quay and five from Central, and you bring photo ID and a recent utility bill so we can sort the right-to-work bit properly.
