We’re hiring domestic cleaners across Royal Greenwich at £14.80 an hour, paid weekly, on regular fortnightly rounds covering SE3, SE7, SE9, SE10, SE18 and SE28. Our Greenwich rota is split, geographically, into two halves. The Cutty Sark end is mostly maintenance cleans in flats around Greenwich Market, the streets running up Maze Hill toward the Park, and a steady cluster of jobs in the Royal Arsenal and Mast Quay blocks behind Woolwich. The Blackheath end is bigger houses and longer visits, mostly off Tranquil Vale and Montpelier Vale where John Payne’s lettings office sits. End-of-tenancy work comes in roughly twice a month through Foxtons on Creek Road and the agents around Blackheath Village, with occasional jobs further south in Eltham and Charlton when an existing client moves.
Pay, in plain numbers
£14.80 an hour. That’s the London Living Wage rate for 2025-26, announced last October. We pay by bank transfer every Friday for the previous week’s work. We don’t pay monthly. Monthly is grim when you’re new to a job and waiting on a first wage.

Parking, transport and the borough’s quirks
Royal Borough of Greenwich is in the middle of a CPZ review across Charlton, Westcombe Park, Blackheath Standard and Eltham North, and the council is rolling out emissions-tiered permits, where an electric resident permit costs about £25-£26 a year against a much higher rate for older diesels. If you don’t drive, Greenwich is one of the easier south-east London boroughs to work in without a car. The DLR runs through Cutty Sark on both the Bank-Lewisham and Stratford-Lewisham branches, and trains turn up roughly every four minutes in service hours. The 188 is a 24-hour bus from North Greenwich through Maze Hill, Cutty Sark and Deptford, useful for late-finish flats around the Peninsula. The 386 covers the Cutty Sark to Blackheath Village link. The Elizabeth line at Woolwich gets you to Paddington in around half an hour, which most cleaners we’ve hired in the last two years rate as the single biggest commute upgrade since 2022.

What we want from you
- ✓Cleaning experience already, professionally or seriously domestically. We’re not training a brand-new cleaner on this round.
- ✓You text the night before if a job needs to move. Same-day cancellations cost the client and us; we don’t repeat them.
- ✓Right-to-work paperwork sorted before your first shift: ID and a recent utility bill is enough.
What we don’t ask for: a CV, a covering letter, or a long form.
