The King’s Road loading window is 10am to 4pm, ten minutes at a time, in designated bays only. If you’ve cleaned in Chelsea before, that window probably already shapes your morning.
We’re hiring domestic cleaners across Kensington and Chelsea at £14.80 an hour, paid weekly, on regular fortnightly rounds from World’s End up to Notting Hill. Self-employed or PAYE, both fine.
Most of our K&C rota covers SW3, SW10 and W11: the long Chelsea spine off King’s Road, the South Kensington garden squares around Onslow and Brompton Cross, and a steady cluster of flats between Portobello Road and Ladbroke Grove. A handful of weekly visits in Holland Park. End-of-tenancy work tends to come in through the local letting agents, including Russell Simpson around Cale Street and the John D Wood office on Shawfield Street.
Mostly maintenance cleans in private flats and mansion blocks. Two or three end-of-tenancy slots a month. We don’t run commercial contracts in this borough.
Pay
£14.80 an hour. That’s the London Living Wage rate for 2025–26. Bank transfer every Friday for the previous week’s hours. We pay weekly because monthly is awful when you’re new and waiting on a first wage.

Parking and getting around
Kensington and Chelsea is one of the few London boroughs that isn’t zoned, which means a single resident’s permit code covers the whole borough rather than a small CPZ patch. Useful when a job runs over and you’d otherwise be sweating about the meter. CPZs in K&C run Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday 8:30am to 1:30pm. Bigger headache is the King’s Road loading rule (ten minutes at a time, between 10am and 4pm, in designated bays only), so we’d rather you came on the bus where we can manage it.
You can. The 11 and the 22 run the whole length of King’s Road, end to end. The 14 covers South Kensington and Brompton Cross. The 70 picks up Ladbroke Grove and the W10 streets. District and Circle stops at Sloane Square, South Kensington, High Street Kensington and Notting Hill Gate; the Piccadilly drops you at South Kensington too; the Elizabeth line at Bond Street is close enough for the Knightsbridge spillover. If you do drive, the whole borough is inside ULEZ, so a compliant car only.
What we want from you
You’ll have cleaned before, properly. You’ll turn up. You’ll text the night before if a job needs to move. Right-to-work paperwork done before your first shift, passport or share code plus a recent utility bill is fine.
What we don’t ask for: a CV, a covering letter, or a long form.
This role staffs our domestic cleaning in Kensington-And-Chelsea, end of tenancy cleaning, carpet cleaning and oven cleaning rounds, so there is steady local work all year.
