Recurring cleaning, on a retainer
This is the bread and butter. You keep one named cleaner on your home and they come back on a fixed day. A weekly round is £22 per cleaner per hour. A fortnightly round is £24 per cleaner per hour, because the gaps mean a little more work has built up each time. Either way there is no VAT and no call-out charge bolted on afterwards.
Most homes settle into three hours a week. That is £66 for a weekly visit. On a fortnightly arrangement people usually book two to three hours, so somewhere between £48 and £72 a clean depending on how much ground there is. A two-bed flat near the station tends to land at the lower end. A four-bed family house out in Lower Earley with a dog sits at the top.
One-off cleans, done by a team
A one-off is a different animal. Maybe you have people coming, or you have just had the decorators out, or the place has got away from you over a busy stretch. For that we send a team rather than a single cleaner, usually about two cleaners for three hours, and they hit everything in one go. A one-off is £26 per cleaner per hour with a £67 minimum charge. Two cleaners for three hours comes to £156, and they will get more done in that morning than you would believe.
You do not need a contract to book a one-off. It is a single job, paid once, no commitment. Plenty of people try us with a one-off first and then move onto a regular round once they have met the cleaner and seen the work.
Ironing, if you want it
We hate ironing too.
If the pile has its own chair, add ironing to any clean at £12 an hour on top of the cleaning time. Your cleaner works through it during the visit, so a three-hour clean with an hour of ironing built in is simply the clean plus £12. We would rather iron your shirts than leave you doing them at half nine on a Sunday night.

Cleaning Berkshire homes, honestly
Berkshire is not one kind of house, and a cleaner who pretends otherwise has never worked here. The county runs from the redbrick Victorian terraces of Reading and Newtown out to the post-war semis of Tilehurst and Whitley, the 1990s detached estates of Lower Earley, the flats that went up along the Kennet by the Oracle, and the leafier roads across the river in Caversham. Each one cleans differently, and the thing they nearly all share is the water.
Thames Water supplies most of the county off the chalk and limestone under the Thames Valley, which makes the water here very hard, around 280 to 300 milligrams of calcium carbonate per litre. Through the rest of the home it is dusting, skirtings, hoovering carpets, mopping hard floors, beds changed if you leave the linen out, and a general tidy.
