We do domestic cleaning across London from £22 an hour per cleaner, on a weekly or fortnightly round, or as a one-off deep clean.

What it costs in London
A regular cleaner you keep is £22 per cleaner per hour on a weekly round, and £24 per cleaner per hour if you go fortnightly. There is no VAT added to that and no call-out charge. The fortnightly rate is a touch higher because a flat left for two weeks takes a little longer to bring back, not because we are penalising you for seeing us less.
So a three-hour weekly clean is £66. A fortnightly visit of two to three hours lands between £48 and £72, depending on how long the flat needs. We charge for the hours booked and nothing else. If one week runs long because you have had people staying, that week is longer and the next is back to normal.
There is no VAT added to that and no call-out charge.
A one-off clean is priced differently because it is a different job. More on that below.

Two different services, not one
People ring up and ask for “a cleaner” and mean two completely different things, so it is worth being clear. We run two services in London and they are priced and staffed differently.
The first is a regular clean. One cleaner, the same person each time, kept on your home weekly or fortnightly. That is the £22 and £24 service, and it is what most of our London work is.
The second is a one-off. A team, usually around two cleaners for three hours, brought in to do a flat from top to bottom in a single visit. That is £26 per cleaner per hour with a £67 minimum charge, and you book it on its own when you need it.
You can have one without the other. Some people take a one-off to reset a flat, then put a regular cleaner on it afterwards to keep it that way. Others only ever want the fortnightly visit. Both are fine.
A regular cleaner you keep
The regular service is a retainer. We put one cleaner on your home and keep them there, so they learn the flat instead of starting cold every visit.
That matters more than it sounds. A cleaner who has done your kitchen ten times knows the oven door catches, knows you keep the good cloths under the sink, knows not to move the pile of post on the side because it is sorted in an order that makes sense to you and nobody else. You stop having to explain things, and the clean gets faster and better at the same time.

Weekly is £22 an hour per cleaner. Fortnightly is £24. Most London flats take a cleaner two to three hours a visit, so a typical weekly clean is £44 to £66, and a fortnightly one is £48 to £72. A studio near Old Street can be done inside two hours. A three-bed with a family in it is at the longer end.
If your cleaner is off sick or away, we send cover and we tell you first. We do not quietly swap a stranger into your home and hope you do not notice.
No contract, by the way. The rate is just the rate.
The one-off deep clean
A one-off is the job to book when the flat has got away from you. It is £26 per cleaner per hour, with a £67 minimum, and it is done by a team rather than a single cleaner.
The team is usually two cleaners for about three hours, which gets through a flat far quicker than one person ever could, because two people can split the kitchen and the bathroom and meet in the middle. For a one-off we go heavier on the parts a weekly clean only keeps ticking over, so that is inside the oven, behind the taps, the skirting boards, the tops of doors, the bits you notice when you finally look.
People book a one-off for a few reasons. Before guests arrive. After a party. When a flat has been let go for a few months and needs resetting. Spring, when everyone suddenly looks at their windows.

The flats we actually clean
London is not one kind of home, so cleaning it is not one kind of job. In the middle, around the City and Clerkenwell, a lot of our work is in warehouse conversions, the old print works and watch-making factories off streets like St John Street that were turned into flats in the nineties. Exposed brick, concrete ceilings, the odd steel beam left on show. They look great and they hold dust on every ledge.
Then there are the estates that brought residents back into the Square Mile after the war. The Barbican is the big one, around 2,000 flats and maisonettes across the towers and terraces, home to roughly 4,000 people, all of it concrete and built for City professionals. Just north of it sits the Golden Lane Estate, 559 homes from the 1950s, owned by the City of London. We clean in both, and the layouts confuse every first-time visitor, ours included until they learn them.
Out from the centre it changes again. Victorian terraces carved into flats in the inner boroughs. Thirties semis further out. New-build blocks along the river with floor-to-ceiling glass that shows every mark. A cleaner who is good in a Barbican maisonette is not automatically good in a glass-walled new-build, so we try to match people to the kind of home they clean best.
What that means for you is simple. We do not turn up with one method and force your flat to fit it.
Hard water and what it does to a London flat
London water is hard. Thames Water averages around 302 parts per million of calcium carbonate, and most of central London sits near 293, which the industry rates as very hard. The chalk and limestone under the Thames catchment is the reason.
You feel it on the taps first. They fur up white within days of a clean, the kettle scales, the shower screen goes cloudy, and the loo gets that ring nothing seems to shift. A regular cleaner stays on top of it, because a fortnightly wipe of the limescale never lets it harden into the grey crust that needs a one-off and some elbow grease to remove. Letting it build is the expensive route.
We use descalers chosen for the surface, not one harsh product on everything, which matters on the original chrome and enamel in the older estate flats where the wrong spray leaves a permanent mark. If your fittings are period or delicate, tell us and we treat them gently.
It is the single most common thing London clients want sorted. Honestly, the water does half our marketing for us.
Getting a cleaner to your door
Our office is at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, in SW14, and our cleaners live all over London, so getting to you is mostly about the trains.
That is why the central jobs are easy to staff. Farringdon, for instance, is the one station in London where the Underground, Thameslink and the Elizabeth line all meet, so a cleaner can reach a Clerkenwell or Barbican flat from half the city without a car. We lean on stations like that to keep your visit on time, because a cleaner stuck in traffic is no use to anybody waiting at home on a work-from-home morning.
For regular clients we usually hold a key or a fob, which means the clean happens whether you are in or not, and you come home to a done flat rather than waiting in for us. For one-offs you are more likely to be there to let the team in, though a key works just as well.
If you drive and have off-street parking, say so. If parking near you is a permit-only nightmare, say that too, and we will sort a cleaner who comes by train.

Can you do ironing as well as cleaning?
Yes. Ironing is £12 per hour on top of the cleaning time. Plenty of our London clients add an hour of ironing to a regular visit, so the cleaner cleans for two hours and irons for one. Just tell us roughly how big the basket is and we will plan the time.
Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?
We can do either. Most regular clients prefer we use the products already in the flat so nothing clashes with their surfaces, especially in the Barbican and Golden Lane flats with their original fittings. If you would rather we bring everything, say so when you book and we will turn up kitted out.
Are your cleaners vetted and insured?
Yes. Monster Cleaning Ltd has cleaned London homes since 2014, registered at Companies House under 9919639. Every cleaner is interviewed in person and reference-checked before they go near a client home, and the work is covered by public liability insurance. We hold keys for regular clients who want that.
What if I am not happy with the clean?
