The New River loops through the back of Bush Hill Park Golf Club and pops out near Enfield Town station, and a fair chunk of our weekly Enfield rota sits within ten minutes’ walk of that path. Edwardian houses in Bush Hill Park, 1930s semis in Palmers Green, post-war estates around Edmonton, mock-Tudor in Cockfosters, modern flats by Enfield Lock. That’s the spread.
Part-time cleaners in Enfield at £14 an hour, paid weekly, on fortnightly rounds across EN1, EN2, EN3, N9, N13, N14, N18 and N21.
Short version above. Detail below.
What an Enfield round looks like
Most of the work is maintenance cleans in private homes. A handful of small offices around Southbury Road and Genotin Road. End-of-tenancy slots booked through the high-street letting agents, including Kings Group on Silver Street in Enfield Town and Winkworth Palmers Green on Aldermans Hill. Enfield’s housing stock is more varied than people outside the borough realise: Edwardian bay-fronts in Bush Hill Park, 1930s semis on the Lakes Estate side of Palmers Green, post-war estates around Edmonton Green and Angel Edmonton, mock-Tudor on the wider streets above Cockfosters station, and the new build flats around Enfield Lock and the Electric Quarter regeneration.
Pay, plainly
£14 an hour. Weekly. Bank transfer every Friday. Self-employed or PAYE, your call.
For the comparison shop: Maid2Clean’s Palmers Green page lists their regular customer rate from £16.95 an hour, and Cleaning Express advertises £13.85 to its London cleaners. £14 is honest outer-zone money, sits above the National Living Wage £11.44 and just under the London Living Wage £14.80. Outer-London rota maths don’t quite stretch to LLW across an EN-and-N postcode patchwork, but £14 is consistent and weekly and we don’t shave it.
The transport reality
If you don’t drive, Enfield is workable. National Rail runs out of Liverpool Street to Enfield Town and to Bush Hill Park, the West Anglia line stops at Edmonton Green, Silver Street, Lower Edmonton, Ponders End and Enfield Lock, and the Piccadilly line terminates at Cockfosters — first train out is 05:09 Monday to Saturday, 07:00 on Sunday, which matters if a Cockfosters or Oakwood client books an early start. The 121, 217, 191, 192 and W8 buses cover most of the gaps.
If you do drive, a word on parking. Enfield Council confirmed the new Electric Quarter CPZ after the September 2025 statutory consultation: it operates 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Sunday, with site works from the week commencing 9 February 2026 and road markings completing 13 March 2026. The Sunnyside and Forty Hall CPZs run 9am to 6:30pm Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays. Where a client pays for parking we send the permit code the morning of the job. Where a job is a five-minute walk from Enfield Town railway or Cockfosters tube we will tell you straight rather than have you driving in circles.
What we want from you
You’ll have cleaned before, properly. Not training from zero on this round.
- ✓Turn up. Last summer a small Palmers Green operator started missing morning slots, lost half their book, and we picked the bookings up. We will not be the next firm with that reputation.
- ✓Text the night before if a job needs to move. One hard rule.
- ✓Tell us straight if a postcode is awkward for you so we can rota you something sensible. Sending an N9 cleaner across to EN4 at school-run time helps nobody.
This role staffs our domestic cleaning in Enfield, end of tenancy cleaning, carpet cleaning and oven cleaning rounds, so there is steady local work all year.
How to apply
No CV. No covering letter. No application form.
Message the number on this page with your name, the postcode you live in, and one sentence on where you’ve cleaned before. We reply within 48 hours, sometimes faster. If we want to meet, we meet on a weekday morning near Enfield Town station or by Trent Park’s Cockfosters gate, and you’ll need to bring some ID and a recent utility bill so we can do right-to-work properly. That is the whole process.
If Enfield is awkward for your commute, have a look at our open rounds in Haringey around Wood Green and Tottenham instead, or the Barnet rota stretching from High Barnet down to Whetstone.
