If your oven door has gone that foggy brown colour and no spray touches it, you are not doing anything wrong. Baked-on carbon needs heat and the right solution to shift, not elbow grease. We do oven cleaning across Dartford, from town-centre flats off the High Street to the 1930s semis up towards Wilmington, and we get the glass clear again.

Monster Cleaning provides professional oven cleaning in Dartford from £77 for a single oven, using a non-caustic dip-tank so your appliance is clean and safe to use the same day.
That is the short version. The longer version, with the prices for every oven type, what the dip-tank actually does, and a few honest notes about cleaning ovens in a very hard-water town, is below.
What oven cleaning costs in Dartford
Here are the prices. No survey, no “from” games that turn into something bigger when we arrive. A single oven is £77. A double oven is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114, and a two-oven AGA is £143.
Add-ons are priced the same way. A hob is £23 to £28 depending on whether it is a flat ceramic top or cast-iron gas burners with a lot of stuck-on spill. An extractor hood is £28. A microwave, freestanding or built-in, is £22.
Most Dartford homes book a single or a double, often with the hob and extractor done at the same visit because the grease film on the hood is usually worse than people think. A double oven plus hob plus extractor is the common bundle and it lands a touch over £160 all in.
We quote the flat rate on the phone. The only thing that changes the number is the appliance type, and you tell us that when you call.

The non-caustic dip-tank method
The whole job turns on one thing: the racks, trays, side runners and the inner door glass come out of your oven and go into a heated tank in our van.
The tank holds a non-caustic solution. That matters for two reasons. First, caustic soda fumes are unpleasant and you really do not want them sitting in a small Dartford kitchen, especially a town-centre flat with one window. Second, caustic can dull aluminium trim and pit some older enamel, and we would rather not gamble with your appliance. The non-caustic solution is slower, so we run it warm, and warmth plus time lifts carbon that no kitchen spray will ever move.
While the parts soak, the cleaner works on the cavity by hand. The roof, the back, the fan housing, the seals and the interior glass all get done in place with non-caustic gel and a lot of patience. Then the soaked parts come back, get rinsed and dried, and go home where they belong.
Because nothing aggressive is left behind and the solution is rinsed off properly, the oven is safe to switch on and cook in the same day. You do not need to air it out overnight. That is the main reason people who tried a caustic DIY kit once never go back to it.
One more practical note. The first time we fire an oven back up we sometimes get a little smoke off the heating element where old splatter is finally burning clean. It clears in a minute or two and it is normal. We will tell you if it is going to happen.
Hard water, grease and Dartford kitchens
Dartford sits on the chalk, and the tap water here is very hard, over 300 parts per million by South East Water’s own reckoning. That mostly shows up as scale in your kettle. But it also changes how grime behaves around the cooker.

Hard water leaves a chalky film on the hob and the splashback, and that film grabs and holds grease. So the gunk near a Dartford cooker tends to be a sticky scale-and-fat mix rather than plain grease, and it bakes harder. The extractor filters clog faster too. If your hood has not been touched in a couple of years, the mesh behind the grille is usually solid with it.
The older terraces have their own quirk. West Dartford and the conservation area around the town centre are full of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and a lot of them still have the original chimney breast turned into an alcove kitchen with a freestanding cooker tucked tight against the wall. Pulling that cooker out to clean the sides and behind is part of the job; we bring trolley boards so we are not dragging it across your floor tiles.
Newer stock is a different animal. The flats at The Bridge and over at Prospect Place tend to have integrated single ovens and induction hobs, which clean up beautifully but hide a surprising amount of crumbs and carbon under a pyrolytic liner that the owners never knew lifted out. We know where to look.

What we clean, start to finish
A standard oven clean covers everything that makes up the appliance. We do not simply wipe the door and leave.
Here is what gets done on a single or double oven:
- Racks, trays and side runners, soaked in the dip-tank until the carbon lifts.
- The inner door glass taken apart where the design allows, so we reach the film trapped between the panes. This is the bit DIY can never get to.
- Cavity roof, back wall, floor and the fan housing, cleaned by hand with non-caustic gel.
- Door seal and hinges wiped and checked. A perished seal is why a lot of ovens cook unevenly, and we will flag it.
- Outer door, control panel and the trim, polished up.
- Bulb cover off and cleaned so the oven light actually works again.
Add a hob and we strip the burners or lift the ceramic film, degrease the surround and get into the seam where the hob meets the worktop. Add the extractor and the metal filters come out for a proper degrease, not a spray-and-pray.
We bring our own water, dust sheets and everything else. You do not need to provide anything. We do ask that the oven is cool when we arrive, so switch it off the night before if you can.
If you are moving out and need the whole place done rather than just the cooker, that is a different service. Have a look at our end of tenancy cleaning in Dartford, which puts the oven inside a full checkout clean instead.
Who books us around DA1
Three sorts of people call us in Dartford, mostly.
Tenants and landlords come first. With the town growing the way it is, there is a lot of moving in and out, and a filthy oven is the single most common reason a checkout report gets marked down. A clean oven on the inventory photos is cheap insurance against a deposit row. We do a lot of these around Lowfield Street and the streets off Spital Street, where the council has been relaying the granite paving and half the flats seem to turn over every year.
Then there are people who simply hate doing it. Fair enough. It is the worst job in the kitchen, and a busy family in one of the Bluewater-side new builds would rather pay a fixed price once or twice a year and have their Saturday back.
Last, sellers. An estate agent showing a house near Central Park or up by Hesketh Park will tell you the kitchen sells the place, and a gleaming oven photographs far better than a brown one. We get booked the week before the photographer comes round more often than you would guess.

Wherever you are, from Temple Hill to Joydens Wood, we cover it. If you are not sure your postcode is in our patch, ask when you call and we will tell you straight.
We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House number 9919639, and we have been cleaning across south-east London and north Kent since 2014. We are honest about our reviews: we run at 3.1 out of 5 across 128 Trustpilot reviews, which is not perfect, and we would rather you knew that and judged us on the actual clean than on a wall of suspiciously glowing five-stars.
Booking, timing and the guarantee
Booking is simple.
It is a phone call or an email, not a ten-field form. Ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected], tell us the oven type and your Dartford postcode, and we will give you the flat price and a slot. Most weeks we can get to you within a day or two; we cover Dartford from our base over at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS.
A single oven takes roughly an hour to ninety minutes. A double or a range with a hob and extractor on top can run to two and a half hours, because the dip-tank does its work on its own clock and we will not rush the soak. We would rather be in your kitchen a bit longer and do it once than do it twice.
And if we do miss something, we come back. Every oven clean carries a satisfaction guarantee: if any part of the appliance is not right when we leave, tell us within forty-eight hours and we will return and re-clean it at no charge. That is the deal.
One last thing worth saying plainly. A clean oven cooks better and safer. Burnt carbon on the element is a smoke-alarm trigger and, over time, a small fire risk. Getting it cleaned is not vanity.

Frequently asked questions
How much does oven cleaning cost in Dartford?
A single oven is £77, a double oven is £110, a 90cm range cooker is £114 and a two-oven AGA is £143. A hob is £23 to £28, an extractor is £28 and a microwave is £22. The price is fixed once you tell us the appliance type.
Can I use my oven the same day you clean it?
Yes. We use a non-caustic solution and rinse every part properly, so nothing harmful is left behind. Your oven is safe to switch on and cook in as soon as we finish, with no need to air it out overnight.
Is the dip-tank method safe for my oven?
It is. The racks, trays and door glass soak in a heated, non-caustic solution rather than harsh caustic soda, which protects aluminium trim and older enamel. The cavity is cleaned by hand with non-caustic gel, so the whole appliance is treated gently.

Do you clean the glass between the oven door panels?
Where the door design allows, yes. We take the inner door apart to reach the film trapped between the panes, then reassemble it. That trapped grime is the part DIY sprays can never reach, and it is usually what makes a door look permanently foggy.
How long does an oven clean take?
A single oven is roughly an hour to ninety minutes. A double oven or a range cooker with a hob and extractor added can take up to two and a half hours, mainly because the parts need time to soak in the tank.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Just switch the oven off the night before so it is cool when we get there, and clear a little space around it. We bring our own water, dust sheets, tank and chemicals, so you do not need to supply anything else.
Why does my Dartford oven get dirty so quickly?
Dartford has very hard water, over 300 parts per million, which leaves a chalky film that traps grease around the hob and cooker. That mix bakes on harder than plain grease and clogs extractor filters faster, so kitchens here grime up sooner than in soft-water areas.
Will there be smoke the first time I use the oven afterwards?
Sometimes there is a little, for a minute or two, as the last traces of old splatter burn off the heating element. It is harmless and clears quickly. We will warn you if we think it is likely on your appliance.
Do you clean hobs, extractors and microwaves as well?
Yes, and most people add them to the oven booking. A hob is £23 to £28 depending on type, an extractor hood with its filters is £28, and a microwave is £22. Booking them together saves a second visit.
What happens if I am not happy with the clean?
Tell us within forty-eight hours and we will come back and re-clean the appliance at no charge. Every oven clean carries that satisfaction guarantee, because we would rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
Do you cover all of Dartford and the surrounding areas?
We cover Dartford town centre and the DA postcodes around it, from Temple Hill and the Bridge across to Wilmington and Joydens Wood. If you are unsure whether your postcode is in our patch, just ask when you call.
