Half the ovens we open in Woolwich are nearly new Bosch singles in Arsenal flats, fogged by their first year of roasting. The rest are freestanding doubles and the odd range up the hill, with years of proper cooking baked onto the glass. The fix is the same for both. We take the oven apart, soak everything that lifts out, and hand it back clean enough to watch your food through the door.

A single oven in Woolwich is £77 and a double is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114, an AGA £143, hobs run £23 to £28, an extractor is £28 and a microwave £22 while we are there.
What oven cleaning costs in Woolwich
£77 for a single oven, the standard fitting in the newer flats. £110 for a double, which is what most freestanding cookers in the terraces turn out to be once the grill compartment is counted. A 90cm range cooker is £114, and an AGA is £143, priced for the hours an AGA genuinely takes rather than the hours we wish it took.
The bits around the oven are priced small. A hob is £23 to £28 depending on type and how burnt it has got, an extractor hood is £28 and a microwave is £22 if we are already standing in your kitchen. Most people add the hob at least; a gleaming oven under a burnt hob is a haircut with the beard left on.
The price includes the products, the dust sheets and the mess. Soaking happens in our own tank rather than your sink, the kitchen is wiped down and dry before we leave, and parking never appears as a line on the bill.
What Woolwich kitchens are actually like
The riverside blocks come with a predictable kitchen: integrated single oven, induction or ceramic hob, a slim extractor over an open-plan living space. That open plan is the catch. Fry once and the air drifts across the sofa, the extractor mesh loads with grease faster than the oven does, and because every roast happens in one compact appliance, eighteen months is enough to turn the glass amber. The flats are new. The ovens age fast anyway.
From Burrage Town up to Plumstead Common the kitchens run older and bigger: freestanding double cookers, gas hobs with pan supports that catch every boil-over, extended kitchens near the common with a 90cm range and ambitions to match. These ovens carry proper archaeology, Christmas fat under the element and a welded-on drip from a crumble several tenancies back. They take longer, which is exactly what the double and range prices are for.
These ovens carry proper archaeology, Christmas fat under the element and a welded-on drip from a crumble several tenancies back.
The water plays its part too. The supply here is hard, up around 270 to 300 parts per million, so hobs and oven glass grow a white scale haze that ordinary spray smears about. Descaling is part of the job, never an extra.

Shared houses near the town centre deserve their own line: four cooks, one oven, no rota. We just allow more time.
How the clean actually works
Everything that lifts out, lifts out. Racks, trays, side runners and, on most models, the door and its inner glass all come away and go into a heated soaking tank, where the carbon softens while we work on the cavity by hand. The paste we use inside is non-caustic, so the kitchen does not fill with fumes and nothing aggressive is left behind on surfaces food will touch. Scrape, rinse, polish, rebuild.
A single oven takes roughly two hours. Doubles and ranges run longer, and an AGA is a slow, patient job of its own. You can cook the same evening; the first heat-up sometimes carries a faint clean smell for a few minutes and that is the end of it.
There are things we refuse to do, and you should want us to refuse them. We will not force apart a door that was not designed to come apart, and we will not promise that enamel burnt through to the metal will look new again, because it will not. If a door seal is perished or an element looks tired, we point it out and leave the decision with you. No parts upsell.
Ovens in rented kitchens
Woolwich is increasingly a renting town. The Arsenal blocks fill from the Elizabeth line, and the Armourer’s Court towers approved above the station will add hundreds more kitchens on the same spot. A rented oven lives a hard life, because nobody deep-cleans an appliance they do not own, and every inspection shines a torch straight into it.
So the bookings split three ways. Tenants call before an inspection, or when the smoke on preheat gets embarrassing; £77 buys the appliance back and the moral high ground with it. Landlords and agents book between tenants, because a clean oven photographs well and sets the standard for whoever moves in, and we invoice with the detail their files want. Owners call when the oven has become the thing nobody mentions at dinner.
If the oven is one part of a full move-out clean, the page you want is end of tenancy cleaning in Woolwich. This page is for the oven on its own, any time in the tenancy or none.
Who we are
Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House number 9919639, registered office at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS. Cleaning London since 2014. The oven van knows SE18 well.

Reviews, told straight: our Trustpilot is 3.1 from 128. Read the rough ones and the replies before you book, we mean that. A firm that has cleaned this many kitchens collects some bruises along the way, and what matters is that when a job is wrong we go back and put it right.
Plenty of oven customers use us for other rooms afterwards. Carpet cleaning in Woolwich handles the floors, domestic cleaning in Woolwich keeps the whole place straight between one-offs, and the main oven cleaning page lists every appliance size and price we do.
Booking an oven clean
Ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected]. Tell us what the appliance is, single, double, range or AGA, and whether the hob, extractor or microwave should be done in the same visit. Not sure what you have got? A photo of the front of the cooker answers it in seconds.
You get a fixed price and a time slot. The cleaner arrives with the tank, the products and sheets for the floor, works around whoever is home, and leaves the kitchen usable straight away.
We cover all of SE18: the riverside developments, the streets around Powis Street and Beresford Square, Burrage Town, both commons and out towards Plumstead. Ovens do not care about postcode borders and neither do we, so if you are on the edge of the map, ask.
Questions Woolwich customers ask
How much does oven cleaning cost in Woolwich?
A single oven is £77 and a double is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114 and an AGA is £143. Hobs are £23 to £28 depending on type, an extractor hood is £28 and a microwave is £22 when added to an oven visit. All prices are fixed before we start and include products and parking.
How long does an oven clean take?
Around two hours for a single oven. A double or a range cooker usually runs closer to three, and an AGA takes its own sweet time, which is priced in. You do not need to clear out of the kitchen for the whole visit; we work around a kettle being put on.

Can I use the oven the same evening?
Yes. The products we use inside the cavity are non-caustic, so there is nothing harsh to burn off. The first time the oven heats up you might notice a faint clean smell for a few minutes, then it is business as usual. Plenty of customers cook dinner in it that night.
Do you clean range cookers and AGAs?
Both. A 90cm range is £114, and the extended kitchens near Plumstead Common keep a steady trickle of them coming. An AGA is £143 and is a slower, more careful job worked around how the appliance holds its heat. Tell us the make when you book and we will plan the time properly.
Is it worth adding the hob and extractor?
Usually, yes. A hob is £23 to £28 and an extractor £28, small money against the £77 oven, and they are the surfaces everyone actually sees. In the open-plan riverside flats the extractor mesh often carries more grease than the oven itself. Woolwich water is hard as well, so hobs pick up a scale haze that we remove as part of the job.
Do you clean ovens in rented flats and shared houses?
All the time, for tenants, landlords and agents alike. Mid-tenancy cleans keep inspections boring, and between-tenant cleans make the kitchen photograph properly. We are used to sorting access with whoever holds the keys, and shared houses just get a little more time allowed for the state of the grill pan.
Will the racks and trays come back like new?
Most come back bright from the soaking tank, and door glass usually clears completely. What we will not promise is miracles on metal that is already pitted or enamel that has burnt through, because no cleaner can. You get an honest word on anything past saving before we start, never after.
