A Peckham oven has usually fed more people than its owner ever will: flatshare dinners, Sunday roasts, a decade of grill pans. We strip it down, soak the parts in our own tank, and hand it back as metal and glass again, at a fixed price and with no caustic fog left hanging in the kitchen.

Last updated July 2026. Prices and the areas we cover are checked each season, so what you read here is what you pay.

A single oven is £77, a double £110, a 90cm range cooker £114, and the smaller jobs, hobs, extractor hoods and microwaves, run from £22 to £28.

Oven cleaning prices in Peckham

Fixed prices, agreed before we come. A single oven is £77. A double oven is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114 and an AGA is £143. Hobs are £23 to £28 depending on type, an extractor hood is £28, and a microwave is £22. Most people add the hob and extractor to an oven clean, since the grease that coated one has coated the others.

Those prices include the labour, the products, the dismantling and the reassembly. Nothing gets added on the doorstep. If your appliance is unusual, send a photo with your postcode and we confirm the price before you book rather than renegotiate on the day.

Why the spread? Time. A double has two cavities, more racks and twice the glass. A range adds width and usually a griddle plate. The AGA price buys a whole morning of patient work on enamel that punishes shortcuts.

What a proper oven clean involves

A proper oven clean is mechanical before it is chemical. We take out the racks, trays and side runners and, where the model allows, the door and its inner glass. The parts go into heated cleaning solution in our own tank while we work on the shell, so years of burnt carbon lift off instead of being smeared around your kitchen.

A proper oven clean is mechanical before it is chemical.

Inside the oven we use products that finish their work before we leave, which is why you can cook that same evening. The door glass, scraped back to actual transparency, is usually the bit people photograph.

Supermarket oven sprays are caustic enough to need gloves and open windows, and they still leave the carbon in the corners. Fine for a light freshen-up. Not much use against five years of roast fat, and in a small conversion kitchen the fumes have nowhere to go.

A word on self-cleaning ovens. Catalytic liners absorb some fat splash but do nothing for the glass, the racks or the oven floor, and a pyrolytic cycle burns residue to ash without touching the parts you actually look at. We work around liners carefully, because scrubbing wrecks them, and we finish what the self-clean cycle left behind.

The ovens Peckham kitchens hold

Rental kitchens set the tone in SE15. Flats above the Rye Lane shops, conversions off Bellenden Road, house shares towards Queens Road: most come with a basic single electric oven that has passed from tenancy to tenancy without ever being stripped. Landlords replace them when they fail, rarely before, so we meet ten-year-old ovens carrying ten years of dinners.

The after-photo everyone actually wants: baking in a kitchen that sparkles.

The owner-occupied terraces are different. Kitchen extensions on the streets around the Bellenden Renewal Area brought range cookers with them, which is why the 90cm price exists on our list, and the odd AGA turns up in the roads near the Rye. The rebuilt streets around North Peckham mostly have built-under ovens in tight galley kitchens, quick to do and easy to leave spotless.

Above the food shops and takeaways on Rye Lane there is also ambient grease, a fine airborne layer that settles on everything, the extractor hood most of all. Those kitchens repay having the hood and filters done in the same visit. Hard water leaves its own mark too: at roughly 270 to 300 ppm, London tap water dries to a chalky film on door glass and steam trays, and we strip that along with the fat.

Flatshare kitchens usually hold a microwave that four people use and nobody owns. At £22 it stops being anyone’s argument.

When it is worth booking

The classic trigger is smoke. Carbonised fat on the oven roof sets the alarm off every time you cook above 180 degrees, and wiping never reaches it. A strip-down clean does.

Changeovers are the other big one. A checkout report nearly always includes a photo of the open oven, and tenants who spend £77 on the clean tend to keep more of the deposit conversation on their side. Landlords book us between lets for the same reason in reverse. December fills fast as well; if you want the oven presentable before the turkey goes in, book from mid-November.

Sellers book us too. A viewing kitchen gets judged on the cooker the moment the door swings open, and a £77 clean photographs a great deal better than the excuse for it.

And one case where we will talk you out of it: a dying appliance. If the element is on the way out or the door seal has gone, the money is better spent on a replacement, and we say so when we see it. Cleaning a dead oven helps nobody.

The visit itself

A single oven takes around 60 to 90 minutes. Doubles and range cookers take longer, and a neglected AGA can be half a day. We lay dust sheets from the front door to the kitchen, the soaking happens in our tank rather than your sink, and the only trace left behind is the smell of nothing, which after years of burnt fat is the strangest part.

Parking around the middle of Rye Lane is permit bays and loading windows, so we plan for it and carry the kit in. It never becomes your problem or your surcharge.

Nothing is needed from you beforehand except a cold, empty oven. Take out the foil trays and the pizza stone, and leave the rest to us. If it is an AGA, switch it off the night before so the surfaces are cool enough to work on.

While everything is apart we look at the hinges, the door seal and the bulb, and mention anything on its way out while it is still cheap to fix.

Who does the work, and booking

We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House number 9919639, cleaning across London since 2014 from our base at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS. Oven work is done by our appliance cleaners, with the tank in the van.

Our Trustpilot sits at 3.1 from 128 reviews and we leave it on show, because pretending every job in twelve years went perfectly would insult your intelligence. When something is wrong we come back and put it right, and the replies under those reviews say the same.

To book, ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected] with your postcode and the appliance, ideally with a photo. You get a fixed price back the same day.

Plenty of customers pair the oven with carpet cleaning in Peckham or a regular domestic cleaning in Peckham visit. The method in full, for any borough, is on the main oven cleaning page, and if you are moving out there is a separate page for end of tenancy cleaning in Peckham.

Peckham oven questions, answered

How much does oven cleaning cost in Peckham?

£77 for a single oven, £110 for a double, £114 for a 90cm range cooker and £143 for an AGA. Hobs are £23 to £28, extractor hoods £28 and microwaves £22. Prices are fixed when you book, with nothing added on the day.

How long does an oven clean take?

Around 60 to 90 minutes for a single oven, longer for doubles and range cookers, and up to half a day for an AGA that has gone years without attention. We give you a realistic window when you book, and we bring everything with us.

When you can check your reflection in the oven door, it is done.

Can I use the oven the same evening?

Yes. The products we use inside the oven finish working before we leave, so once everything is wiped down and reassembled the oven is safe to heat. Most people run it empty for ten minutes first, more for reassurance than out of any need.

Do you clean range cookers and AGAs?

Yes. A 90cm range is £114 and an AGA is £143. An AGA has to be off and cool before we can touch it, so switch it off the night before your appointment. Ranges with two cavities take a good while longer than a standard single, which the price reflects.

What about the hob, extractor and microwave?

We do all three. Hobs are £23 to £28 depending on whether it is gas, ceramic or induction, an extractor hood is £28 including the filters, and a microwave is £22. Most customers add them to the oven visit, since the same grease has coated the lot.

Will there be fumes or a chemical smell afterwards?

No. The heavy soaking happens in our tank, not in your kitchen, and what we use inside the oven is wiped fully out before we go. The kitchen smells of very little when we finish, which after months of a smoky oven takes some getting used to.

Do you do oven cleans between tenancies?

Yes, changeover ovens are a large slice of our Peckham work. Checkout reports photograph the oven more than any other appliance, so both sides book us: tenants before handing the keys back, landlords before new people move in.

Which parts of Peckham do you cover?

The whole of SE15, from the Bellenden and Choumert streets across Rye Lane to Queens Road, the roads around Peckham Rye Park and Common, and the borders with Nunhead, East Dulwich and Camberwell. Ring 0333 555 2076 if you sit on the edge of the map and we will confirm.
