Park before the racecourse on a busy Downs day and walk the last stretch, because the roads up to the gallops seize solid and a cleaner stuck in that is a cleaner who is late. Small habits like that are the difference between a round that runs to time and one that does not. We have cleaned homes around Epsom for years, and the town has its own rhythm once you know it.

Last updated April 2026. Written by the team at Monster Cleaning Ltd.

We do regular and one-off domestic cleaning across Epsom from £22 an hour, with vetted cleaners and the same one kept on each week.

What domestic cleaning costs in Epsom

Regular cleaning is £22 per cleaner per hour on a weekly round, or £24 per cleaner per hour if you would rather we came fortnightly. No VAT. No call-out charge. The fortnightly rate is a touch higher because the home has had two weeks to gather dust and the visit works a little harder for it.

Most Epsom homes take a cleaner two to three hours a visit. A three-hour weekly clean comes to £66. A fortnightly clean of two to three hours lands between £48 and £72, depending on the size of the place. A small one-bed near the station might be done in two hours. A four-bed out toward College Road, with two bathrooms and a kitchen that gets cooked in, is closer to three.

A one-off clean is a different thing entirely, and it is priced differently. It is a standalone job done by a team, usually two cleaners for about three hours, at £26 per cleaner per hour with a £67 minimum charge. More on why the two services are separate in a moment.

Want your ironing done while we are there? That is £12 an hour on top of the cleaning time. Leave the basket out and tell the cleaner how long to spend on it.

Two services, not one flat rate

People ring up expecting a single price for cleaning, and there are really two jobs here. They are not the same, so we do not pretend they are.

The first is regular domestic cleaning on a retainer. One cleaner, kept on your home, coming back on the same day each week or fortnight. That is the £22 weekly or £24 fortnightly rate, per cleaner per hour, and it is the one most people want. It keeps a tidy home tidy and builds the kind of relationship where the cleaner knows your house better than you do.

The second is a one-off clean. This is a standalone deep visit, booked when you need the place brought back rather than kept up: before guests, after a party, or when nobody has had the time for a month. It is done by a team rather than a lone cleaner, usually a pair for about three hours, at £26 per cleaner per hour with a £67 minimum. A team gets the harder job done in one hit.

Regular cleaning keeps a home up. A one-off brings it back. They are different jobs, so we price them differently.

Some Epsom houses start with a one-off team clean to get on top of things, then settle into a regular slot with a single cleaner. That is the sensible way to begin if a home has been let go, and we will say so on the phone rather than send one cleaner to fail at a deep clean in two hours.

What we do not do is the hours-per-week ladder some firms run, where the rate quietly drops the more hours you commit to. Our hourly rate is the hourly rate. You are paying for a person, for an hour, doing the cleaning you would rather not.

The same cleaner, kept on your home

This is the part people ring us about most, usually after a bad run somewhere else. A different face at the door every week, nobody who knew the house, the dog losing its mind each time. On a retainer we hold one cleaner to one round. The person who works out this week that you like the bins done last and the bed stripped on a Thursday is the one who turns up next week already knowing it.

People let their cleaner in when they trust them, and trust comes from it being the same face. So we protect that. When your regular cleaner is on holiday or off sick we will not send a stranger in blind. We send a cover cleaner who has the notes for your home, and we tell you in advance it is happening.

Every cleaner on our books has been interviewed face to face, ID checked, and references followed up before they set foot in an Epsom home. We are not an app that signs up whoever downloads it. Monster Cleaning Ltd is a real company, Companies House number 9919639, and we have been doing this since 2014.

Our Trustpilot score sits at 3.1 out of 5 across 128 reviews. We will not pretend that is a flawless five, because it is not, and most of the low ones taught us something about communication that we have since put right. We would rather show you the real number than a wall of glowing copy.

Where we clean around Epsom

We cover the whole of Epsom and Ewell: KT18, KT19 and KT17. The three postcodes are not the same kind of place, and the cleaning is not the same either.

KT18 runs south and west of the town centre, toward the Downs and the racecourse and on into the edge of the Surrey Hills, and a lot of it is inter-war semis and bigger detached houses. KT19 is the north end, up toward Stoneleigh, with more 1930s semis and older terraces split into flats. KT17 sits east toward Ewell, where family houses near the better-regarded primaries change hands often, which means a steady run of move-in cleans.

One genuine quirk of this town worth knowing: a good chunk of Epsom’s smarter housing sits on the old hospital estate. The Manor, Horton and Long Grove were psychiatric hospitals out on Epsom Common, and the cluster was redeveloped into housing in the early 2000s. The flats and townhouses on those sites have unusual layouts, period detail and the odd vast communal stairwell, and our cleaners who work them know they are not standard new-builds.

Most of our Epsom rounds sit within a couple of miles of each other, which is how we keep cleaners on time. Parking is the main headache, especially the controlled bays near the High Street, the clock tower and the Ashley Centre, and worse on a race day. We plan around it.

The hard water nobody warns you about

Epsom water is hard. Properly hard.

The town sits on the chalk of the North Downs, the mains supply comes through SES Water, and readings across this patch of Surrey run well over 280 parts per million, which is firmly in hard territory. In plain terms your kettle furs up, the shower screen goes cloudy, the taps grow a white crust, and the loo gets that stubborn ring no amount of ordinary wiping shifts.

This is the single biggest difference between cleaning a home in Epsom and cleaning one in a soft-water town, and it is exactly where a regular clean earns its keep. Scale that gets wiped down every week never sets hard, while scale left for three months between deep cleans turns into something you have to scrape. Our cleaners carry the right descaler and know which surfaces take it and which do not, because the wrong product on a natural-stone worktop or a coated tap is an expensive mistake.

Scale that gets wiped down every week never sets hard.

If you have moved here from a soft-water part of the country and wondered why everything looks dull within a fortnight, that is the chalk, not you.

What a regular clean includes

A standard regular visit covers the lived-in parts of the home. Kitchen surfaces, the hob, the outside of the appliances, sink and taps descaled. Bathrooms scrubbed, loo done, screen and tiles wiped, mirrors cleared. Floors hoovered and hard floors mopped. Dusting through, skirting where it needs it, beds changed if you leave the linen out.

We work to your priorities, not a rigid script. Tell the cleaner what matters most and that gets the time. Some clients want the kitchen spotless and barely care about the spare room. Others want the bathrooms gleaming above all else. That is your call, and the same-cleaner system is what makes it stick.

A few jobs sit outside a normal weekly clean: inside the oven, internal windows beyond a quick wipe, carpets that need a machine rather than a hoover. We handle most as their own visits. Our oven cleaning in Epsom and carpet cleaning in Epsom are priced separately, and if you are moving out altogether that is a deep clean with its own checklist.

We will not pretend a two-hour weekly clean is a spring clean. It keeps a tidy home tidy. If a place has been left for months, the honest answer is a one-off team clean first, then a regular slot to hold it.

Who we clean for in Epsom

A lot of our Epsom clients commute. The station is a couple of minutes from the High Street, fast trains reach Waterloo in around thirty-six minutes with Victoria also on the board, and plenty of them are in town by the time the cleaner arrives. They leave a key or a door code and come home to a done house. We log who holds which key and the cleaner texts when they have locked up.

Others are at home and just want their weekends back. Young families near the Ewell primaries. Older couples in the big semis who would rather not haul a hoover up the stairs any more. Busy professionals who would sooner pay for an hour of cleaning than spend Sunday morning on the bathroom.

One client near Epsom College has kept the same cleaner for three years and books an extra two hours the week before they host at Christmas, every year, like clockwork. That is the kind of relationship the retainer builds, and it is the bit of the job we are most proud of.

We clean for landlords too, on the between-tenancy turnarounds in KT17 and KT19 where houses move often, though a full move-out is a deeper job than a regular clean and we quote it as one.

How to book and what happens next

Booking is a phone call or an email, not a fifteen-screen form. Ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected], tell us your Epsom postcode, roughly how big the place is, and whether you want a regular slot or a one-off.

We check the rota for your area, give you an honest price and a realistic start date, and match you with a cleaner who already runs near you. For a regular slot we can usually start within the week, quicker if someone already cleans your street. For a one-off we book the team in for a morning or an afternoon.

You pay by bank transfer after each regular clean, or by card for a one-off. No deposit, no contract you cannot get out of, and you can pause or stop a slot with a week’s notice. If a clean ever misses the mark, tell us inside 24 hours and we come back and fix it free.

That is the whole thing. A real company, a vetted cleaner kept on your home, £22 an hour for the weekly, and a town we actually know.

Our office is at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS, London, and we have cleaned UK homes since 2014. You can also read more on our domestic cleaning service page.

Frequently asked questions

How much is domestic cleaning in Epsom?

Regular cleaning on a retainer is £22 per cleaner per hour on a weekly round, or £24 per cleaner per hour fortnightly, with no VAT and no call-out charge. A three-hour weekly clean is £66. A one-off clean is a separate service done by a team at £26 per cleaner per hour, with a £67 minimum.

What is the difference between a regular clean and a one-off?

A regular clean is the same cleaner kept on your home week after week, charged at £22 hourly weekly or £24 hourly fortnightly. A one-off is a standalone deep visit by a team, usually two cleaners for about three hours, at £26 per cleaner per hour. They are priced differently because they are different jobs.

Do I get the same cleaner each week in Epsom?

Yes. On a retainer we keep one cleaner on your home, so the person who learns where you keep the hoover this week is the one who turns up next week. If they are off sick or on holiday we tell you in advance and send a cover cleaner who has the notes for your home.

Fresh from a domestic cleaning in Bromley.

Is there a minimum charge for a one-off clean?

Yes, the one-off is £26 per cleaner per hour with a £67 minimum charge. A team of two for three hours is the usual booking. For a regular weekly or fortnightly slot a fortnightly clean runs about £48 to £72 depending on how long the home takes.

Are your Epsom cleaners vetted?

They are. Everyone on the books is interviewed in person, ID-checked and reference-checked before they clean a single Epsom home. We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House 9919639, trading since 2014, so this is not a hobby for us.

Can you help with the hard water and limescale?

Yes, and you will want it here. Epsom sits on the chalk of the Downs and the mains water is hard, so kettles, shower screens and taps fur up fast. A regular clean keeps on top of it far better than letting scale set hard between visits, and our cleaners carry the right descaler for the surface.

Do you bring your own products and equipment?

Most regular clients prefer we use their own hoover and their own products, partly so the same kit stays in the house and partly because people are fussy about what touches their worktops. If you would rather we brought everything, say so when you book and we will sort it.

Can you add ironing to a clean?

Yes. Ironing is £12 per hour on top of the cleaning time, so a cleaner does the clean and then irons for as long as you have booked. Leave the basket out and tell your cleaner what you want done.

What does a regular clean include?

Kitchen surfaces, hob, the outside of the appliances, sink and taps descaled. Bathrooms scrubbed, loo done, screen and tiles wiped, mirrors cleared. Floors hoovered, hard floors mopped, dusting through, and beds changed if you leave the linen out. We work to your priorities, so tell the cleaner what matters most.

What if I am not happy with a clean?

Tell us within 24 hours and we come back and put it right at no charge. We would rather fix it than argue about it, and we would rather fix it than have you quietly drift off to someone else. Our Trustpilot sits at 3.1 out of 5 across 128 reviews and the low ones have taught us plenty.

Do you do end of tenancy cleaning in Epsom?

We do, but that is a different, deeper job with its own checklist and its own price, so we keep it apart from regular domestic cleaning. If you are moving out, ask about our end of tenancy cleaning in Epsom instead.

How quickly can you start, and how do I pay?

Usually within a week for a regular slot, sometimes sooner if a cleaner already runs a round near you. You pay by bank transfer after each regular clean, or by card for a one-off. No deposit, no long contract, and you can pause or stop a regular slot with a week’s notice. Ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected].
