What a regular clean covers
The default is the clean you would do yourself if a free afternoon existed: kitchen surfaces and floor, bathrooms scrubbed and dried off, hoovering through, hard floors mopped, dusting in the rooms you actually live in, bins out, bed linen changed when it is left out. Inside the fridge or a cupboard whenever you ask.
Your list beats our default every time. Plenty of households keep a notebook on the counter and the cleaner works it top to bottom; some lists say nothing but ‘floors, bathrooms, and do not move the candles’. That is the level of say you get, and it is yours to change week by week.
What we do not do: outside windows above ground level, gutters, or anything needing more ladder than a step stool. A cleaner is not a removal firm either. If the spare room is currently a furniture depot, it gets a sensible once-over rather than an excavation.
Who books a cleaner in Putney
Families first. West Putney and the cottage streets around the Dover House estate are full of households where both adults work and the garden door functions mainly as a dog flap for children. Those homes book weekly, usually while everyone is out at school and office.
Commuters next. From East Putney station or the mainline into Waterloo the working day starts early and ends late, and paying £22 an hour to get Saturday morning back is the easiest sum in London. You also get the office number with a human on the end of it. If something is ever not right, say so plainly and it gets fixed on the next visit or sooner. Twelve years of this has taught us that the awkward conversation now beats the quiet cancellation later.

Not everything fits a schedule. Before a landlord inspection, after a kitchen refit has left dust on every shelf you own, ahead of a christening lunch, or when the family flies back after a term away: that is the one-off at £26 an hour, £67 minimum, and you set the priorities. After-party cleans exist too. We do not judge, we just bring more bin bags.
Bathrooms are where London’s hard water earns its reputation, and a one-off is the visit where the limescale comes off shower screens and chrome properly instead of being chased a little each week. Do you bring the cleaning products?
