How many hours? A one-bed flat in one of the newer blocks usually settles at two to three hours a visit. A three-bed terrace with children in it runs three to four. The first visit is the longest, because it pulls the home back to baseline, and after that the same cleaner holds the line in less time. We suggest hours after seeing the place rather than guessing high on the phone.
Weekly or fortnightly is your call, and people tend to sort themselves. Weekly suits family houses and anyone whose kitchen works hard. Fortnightly suits tidy one-bed flats and couples who mostly eat out near Westfield anyway. If you start on one rhythm and it turns out wrong, changing it is one message, not a negotiation.
What a regular clean covers
The kitchen gets worktops, hob top, appliance fronts, sink, bins and floor. Bathrooms get the bath, shower, toilet, basin and floor, plus the limescale that London’s hard water, around 290 to 300 ppm, keeps laying down on shower screens and taps. Bedrooms and living rooms are dusted, hoovered and mopped, and the small stuff, light switches, door handles, internal glass, gets wiped as the cleaner moves through the home.

Two honest exclusions. A regular visit keeps an oven presentable on the outside, but a baked-black interior is a separate specialist job, and carpets get hoovered, not machine-cleaned. Both exist as one-off visits, and your cleaner will say so rather than pretend a wipe-over fixed them.
Three kinds of Stratford home
The rented flats come first. East Village alone holds 2,818 homes, about half of them rented through Get Living, and the towers around Westfield and Stratford International keep adding more. Keys, if you are out, are held in a coded system at our office, tagged with a reference number and never with your address. Plenty of customers prefer a key safe or the concierge instead, which works just as well. Timekeeping is part of the deal too. The visit lands on the same day at the same time each week, because a cleaner who might appear any time between nine and three is no use to anyone planning shift work or a toddler’s nap around it.
