Pull the oven door open in a flat off Lampton Road and two things usually look back at you: a brown fog baked across the inner glass that no cloth will shift, and a grill pan gone grey and rough where the hard west-London water has left its scale. We sort both in one morning. Oven cleaning in Hounslow starts from £77 for a single oven, cleaned in a non-caustic dip-tank and ready to cook on the same day. The racks, trays and door glass go into a heated tank in the van while we hand-clean the cavity. No caustic reek, no afternoon spent with the back door wedged open against the smell, and the Sunday roast goes back in the minute we drive off. Ring 0333 555 2076 for a firm price in about ninety seconds.

Last updated April 2026. Covering TW3 through TW4, TW5 and TW7 across the borough, from Hounslow Central, Hounslow West and Hounslow East out to Lampton, Spring Grove, Heston, Osterley and the Isleworth edge.

What an oven clean costs in Hounslow

Price first, since that is why the phone rings. A single oven starts at £77. The tall double sort, two cavities stacked, starts at £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114, and a two-oven AGA comes in at £143. Tell us the make of cooker and an honest word on the state of it, and what we quote down the phone is what you hand over.

The kit travels in the van, so adding a second job to the same visit always beats booking us back for it. Hobs run £23 to £28, whether gas, ceramic or induction. The extractor hood and its filter is £28. A microwave is £22. Plenty of people here tack the hob and the hood on once they notice how tired those look next to a freshly done oven.

No call-out fee. The price covers the products, the gear and the drive across the borough, and you settle up on the day by card or bank transfer. You also get a receipt on headed paper, which counts for more than people expect when a deposit is riding on it. A Hounslow letting agent will want proof the oven was done properly, and a scribble on a notepad will not pass a check-in clerk.

How we actually clean an oven

Most firms in the trade own a dip-tank. What sets a clean that lasts apart from one that does not is the chemistry in the tank, the parts a rushed job skips, and how many ovens the technician has behind them. Ours count theirs in the thousands. Here is how a visit goes.

  1. Down goes the sheeting, and we cover the worktops either side. If the cooker has been on, it waits until it is stone cold before anyone lays a hand on it.
  2. Out comes everything meant to: shelves, trays, side runners, the fan cover, and the inner pane of the door. On most modern ovens that pane unclips, and the greasy haze trapped behind it is the real reason a door still looks brown after you have scrubbed the visible side raw. Hardly anyone knows it lifts out.
  3. The lot drops into the van tank, a water-based non-caustic degreaser sitting around 60C. Half an hour or so and it eats through everything: burnt carbon, layered grease, the toffee-hard sugar welded to a baking tray, and the chalky scale ringing the grill pan.
  4. The cavity is hand-work while the parts soak. We coat the roof, back, floor and sides in an enzyme degreaser and leave it, so the product loosens the grime instead of your arm. Then soft pads, fine brushes worked into the seal channel and round the element, and a microfibre buff. The fan gets the most care, since trapped carbon there is what kills an oven early.
  5. Then it all goes back: parts rinsed, dried and refitted, both faces of the glass polished, the gasket wiped, every runner slotted home the way we found it.
  6. Last, a function check. We switch it on, watch the fan turn, and hand it over fit to roast in.

None of it is glamorous and we would not pretend otherwise. The point is the gap between an oven that merely looks fresher and one cleaned genuinely down to the bare element, the part that quietly decides how many winters the appliance has left in it. On the rental ovens we meet at a Hounslow check-out, a fan choked with carbon is the usual reason the thing has already packed up, and two cleans a year cost a fraction of a new cooker and the fitting bill.

We have seen far worse.

Hard water, scale and your oven

Hounslow has a limescale problem, and ovens cop it as badly as kettles do. The water across this part of west London is drawn through chalk, so it comes out of the tap hard, and every time steam off a roasting tin or a pan of greens hits cold metal, a little more scale gets left behind. Grill pans cloud, door glass films over, and the chrome on the racks goes dull and gritty under your thumb.

Grease and scale together are stubborn in a way grease on its own is not. A supermarket spray is built for the grease and slides straight over the scale, which is why so many kitchens round here end up with an oven that smells clean and still looks tired. The tank takes both at once. The warm solution lifts the carbon and the calcium off the same tray in one soak, and the racks come out smooth again rather than rough.

Family baking beside a spotless oven with gleaming door glass
The after-photo everyone actually wants: baking in a kitchen that sparkles.

We are not here to sell you a water softener. The point is just this. Live in Hounslow and the scale is doing quiet harm to your oven on top of the grease, so a proper clean has to deal with both, or it has not really done the job.

The flight path and a greasy kitchen

Hounslow lives under Heathrow. Stand on a Hounslow West platform and the planes come over low enough to read the airline off the tail, because the southern runway sits just past the station, and barely any corner of the borough escapes the flight path overhead. It changes how kitchens get dirty here in a way that catches people out.

Because of the heat and the engine noise, a lot of Hounslow flats keep a kitchen window open far more than they otherwise would. That pulls airborne cooking grease and a fine grey film in off the air and lays it on the extractor hood, the tiles and the top of the oven, where it bonds with the grease already there into a sticky coat that an ordinary wipe just smears around. The hood is usually the worst of it. We clean the extractor and its filter for £28, and on this round it is the add-on people reach for most, because a spotless oven under a furred-up hood never looks finished.

Hounslow kitchens and the cookers in them

You can almost date a Hounslow kitchen by the cooker stood in it. Much of the borough went up between the wars, so the bread-and-butter stock is the 1930s semi, bay-fronted and pebble-dashed, rolling out through Lampton, Spring Grove and up into Heston and Osterley. A lot of those original kitchens were never built for a modern fan oven with a steamer beside it, and the cooker takes heavy weeknight use feeding a full house.

Closer in, round Lampton Road and the streets behind the High Street, the picture turns to flats and big older houses long ago carved into them, much of it rented and turning over often, each with an oven that rarely gets a deep clean between tenants. Past the Treaty Centre and the newer Blenheim Centre to the north, the new-build flats around the town centre come with sleek integrated ovens that look easy and are anything but, since the door glass clouds fast and the racks tuck to the back where a hand will not reach.

Getting a tank around Hounslow has its own rhythm. We work off the Piccadilly line through Hounslow Central, Hounslow West and Hounslow East, and the South Western trains into Hounslow station, and we know which side roads off the High Street and the Staines Road you can stop on. The town centre is pedestrianised along the main drag, so for the flats above the shops we sort the nearest loading spot before we set off rather than circling on the day. The borough also sits inside the ULEZ, which runs every day bar Christmas, so an old diesel left outside the flat is a daily charge whether we are there or not. Tell us your road when you book.

What the price includes

Every line below is baked into the standard price, not a surprise once the technician is stood in your kitchen.

  • The oven taken fully apart and put back together again.
  • Shelves, trays, runners, the fan cover and the inner door pane all soaked clean in the tank, along with any range trivets and burners.
  • An enzyme scrub of the whole cavity: roof, floor, back, sides, fan, element and the seal channel.
  • Glass cleaned on all four faces, inner pane and outer.
  • Hinges checked and the rubber gasket wiped down.
  • Knobs, the fascia and the front of the door left clean.
  • A working test on the way out, and a cooker you can use straight away, because nothing has to burn off first.
  • Products, equipment and the mileage round Hounslow, all in the quoted figure.

And the part that will not sit on a tidy list: a satisfaction and re-clean guarantee. If something is not right, flag it to the technician before they pack up and it gets put right on the spot. Notice it after we have gone and one call brings us back. In over ten years it rarely comes to that, but the guarantee means you are not taking it on trust.

How booking works

One quick call does it. Dial 0333 555 2076, say what kind of cooker you have, how grim it has got, whether you want the hob or extractor doing as well, and which days suit you. The quote comes back there and then, usually inside a couple of minutes, and we pencil you in. Rather have it in writing? Drop a line to [email protected] instead.

Most Hounslow oven jobs land within three to five days, and midweek there are often same-day or next-day slots. Month-end is the busy stretch, when move-out cleans pile up across the borough, so if you are cleaning for an inspection, try to give us a week you can spare. On the day a liveried van turns up with the tank aboard, and you can stay, head to work, or get on in another room. Expect some scrubbing noise and no chemical smell. We test it, show you the result, take payment, and leave you an oven fit for a Sunday roast. Not sure how bad yours is? Send a photo over the phone and we quote it properly.

We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, registered at 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS, and Hounslow is one of the boroughs our vans run in week in, week out.

Frequently asked questions

How much does oven cleaning cost in Hounslow?

A single oven starts at £77, a double at £110, and a 90cm range cooker at £114. A two-oven AGA is £143. Add jobs to the same visit and they come cheaper: hobs £23 to £28, an extractor hood £28, a microwave £22. We give you a firm price on the phone first, so the figure on the day is the figure we quoted.

Which parts of Hounslow do you cover?

The whole town and out across the borough. Hounslow Central, Hounslow West and Hounslow East, up to Lampton and Spring Grove, and over towards Heston, Osterley and Isleworth. Postcodes from TW3 through TW4, TW5 and TW7 are all on the round. Ring with your postcode and we confirm in a few seconds.

Can I use the oven the same day you clean it?

Yes, the moment we leave. The dip-tank is non-caustic and water-based, so there is no caustic smell to burn off and nothing to wait for. Dinner can go straight back in. For a lot of Hounslow customers that is the whole reason they ring us instead of fighting it with a supermarket spray.

Does the hard water round here damage my oven?

More than most people reckon. This corner of west London sits on chalk-fed water that runs hard, so scale builds on grill pans, door glass and any metal that meets steam. A spray made for grease slides straight over the scale. Our tank lifts the grease and the scale off the same tray in one soak, and the racks come back smooth rather than gritty.

Does Heathrow being so close affect kitchen grime?

It plays its part. Most of the borough sits under the flight path, and a lot of Hounslow flats keep windows open against the heat and the engine noise, which pulls airborne grease and a fine grey film into the kitchen. It settles on the hood, the tiles and the top of the oven. We clean the extractor and its filter for £28, and most people have it done alongside the oven.

How long does an oven clean take?

A single oven is about ninety minutes. A double runs closer to two hours, a 90cm range two to two and a half. An AGA can take a half-day because of its size and the enamel. We give you a realistic time on the phone so you can plan the rest of your day around it.

Do you clean the racks, trays and door glass too?

Yes. Everything removable comes out and goes in the tank: shelves, trays, side runners and the fan cover. We also split the door and clean between the panes, which is exactly where that wipe-proof brown haze hides. Every piece goes back in just as it started.

Can you clean the oven as part of a move-out clean?

Yes. On a move-out the oven is the first line a check-in clerk looks at, so it is built into every booking as standard. You get a receipt on headed paper too, which a Hounslow letting agent will want before a deposit goes back. Book the end of tenancy and the oven, hob and extractor are all handled together.

Is Monster Cleaning a real, insured company?

Yes. We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House number 9919639, trading since 2014, with a satisfaction and re-clean guarantee on every job. Our Trustpilot sits at 3.1 out of 5 across 128 reviews, which we would sooner show you straight than dress up. Insurance papers go to landlords and managing agents on request.
