Open the oven door in a Wembley flat and the same two things meet you every time: a brown haze cooked across the glass, and a grill pan furred grey with limescale, because Affinity Water runs this corner of London very hard. We deal with both in a single morning. Oven cleaning in Brent starts from £77 for a single oven, cleaned in a non-caustic dip-tank and ready to use the same day. Racks, trays and door glass go into a heated tank in the van while we hand-clean the cavity. No caustic fumes, no all-day wait, and you can cook on it the moment we drive off. Ring 0333 555 2076 for a firm price in about ninety seconds.
Last updated April 2026. Covering HA0, HA9, NW2, NW6, NW9 and NW10 across the borough, from Wembley and Wembley Park through Willesden, Harlesden, Kilburn, Kingsbury, Neasden, Cricklewood and Queen’s Park.
What an oven clean costs in Brent
Prices first, because it is the thing everyone rings to ask. A single oven is from £77. A double oven, the tall built-in kind with two cavities, is from £110. A 90cm range cooker is from £114, and a two-oven AGA from £143. Tell us the type and roughly how dirty it is, and you get a firm figure on the phone before we set off.
The kit lives in the van, so anything around the oven is cheaper added to the same visit than booked on its own. A hob is £23 to £28, depending on whether it is gas, ceramic or induction. An extractor hood with its filter is £28. A microwave is £22. A lot of Brent customers add the hob and the extractor once they spot how the grease on them suddenly shows next to a clean oven.
| What we clean | Roughly how long | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Single oven | about 90 minutes | from £77 |
| Double oven | about 2 hours | from £110 |
| Range cooker (90cm) | 2 to 2.5 hours | from £114 |
| AGA (2-oven) | half a day | from £143 |
| Hob (gas, ceramic or induction) | 20 to 30 minutes | £23 to £28 |
| Extractor hood and filter | about 30 minutes | £28 |
| Microwave | about 20 minutes | £22 |
No call-out fee. The price covers the products, the kit and the travel across the borough, and you pay on the day by card or bank transfer. You also get a receipt on company headed paper, which matters more than people expect. A Brent letting agent will usually want proof the oven was cleaned properly before a deposit goes back, and a line scribbled on a notepad will not do it.
No caustic fumes, no all-day wait, and you can cook on it the moment we drive off.
How we actually clean an oven
Most of the trade runs a dip-tank of some sort. What separates a good clean from a poor one is the chemistry, the parts people skip, and whether the person doing it has done a few or a few thousand. Ours have. Here is the order it runs in.
- The floor goes down and the worktop either side gets covered. The oven comes off the wall and cools right down if it has been on that day.
- Everything that lifts out, lifts out. Racks, trays, runners, the fan cover, and the inner door glass. Modern doors have a removable inner pane, and the baked film hiding between the layers is the real reason an oven still looks dirty after you have scrubbed it raw. We unclip that pane. Most people never knew it came out.
- The removable parts go into a heated tank in the van, a non-caustic water-based degreaser held around 60C. Twenty to forty minutes of soaking shifts the lot: carbon, baked grease, the sugar glaze welded to a tray, the hard-water scale crusted round the grill pan.
- While they soak we work the cavity by hand. Enzyme degreaser on the walls, roof, floor and back panel, left to dwell so the chemistry does the lifting instead of your wrist. Then non-abrasive pads, detail brushes round the seal channel and the element, and a microfibre finish. The fan blade gets extra attention, because that is where carbon does the lasting harm.
- Parts out, rinsed, dried, refitted. Door glass cleaned on both faces, gasket wiped, runners back in their slots. Exactly as we found it.
- A quick function test. Oven on, fan turning, handed back ready to cook on.
It is not glamorous work. It is the difference between an oven that looks a bit better and one that is genuinely clean down to the element, which is where it decides how long the thing lasts. Carbon caked on the fan and element is the commonest reason the rental ovens we meet at check-out have already packed up, and a clean twice a year works out far cheaper than a new oven fitted.
We have seen worse. Honestly.
Affinity Water, limescale and your oven
Brent has a limescale problem, and ovens cop it as badly as kettles do. Affinity Water supplies almost all of the borough, drawing it from the chalk under the Chilterns, and chalk water comes out very hard, comfortably above 300 parts per million of calcium carbonate. Every time steam off a roasting tin or a pan of greens hits cold metal, a little more scale gets left behind. Grill pans go cloudy, door glass films over, and the chrome on the racks turns dull and rough to the touch.
Grease and scale together are stubborn in a way grease alone is not. A supermarket spray is built for the grease and skates straight over the scale, which is why so many Wembley and Willesden kitchens end up with an oven that smells clean but still looks tired. The dip-tank takes on both at once. The warm water-based solution lifts the carbon and the calcium deposits off the same tray in one soak, and the racks come out smooth again instead of gritty.

You can check your own road on the Affinity Water hardness pages if you are curious. We are not here to sell you a softener. We are just saying that if you live in Brent, the scale is doing quiet damage to your oven on top of the grease, and a proper clean has to handle the pair of them or it has not really done the job.
Brent kitchens and the ovens in them
Brent grew up along the railways. You can read Brent’s history off the cookers. The Metropolitan line pushed Metroland out to Wembley, Kingsbury and Preston in the 1920s and 30s, and those streets are wall-to-wall 1930s semis with a single or double built-in oven in a kitchen that has usually been opened into the side return. Push south to Kilburn and Queen’s Park and the stock turns to grand late-Victorian terraces from the 1870s and 80s, many long since carved into flats, each with its own oven taking heavy weeknight use.
Willesden Green and Brondesbury fill in with Edwardian villas, big kitchens and often a proper family range that has fed a household hard for a decade. Those are the 90cm jobs, and they earn the two and a half hours. Then there are the new towers going up around Wembley Park Boulevard and Arena Square in the shadow of the stadium, fitted with sleek integrated ovens that look easy and are anything but: the door glass clouds fast and the racks tuck right to the back.
Getting a tank around the borough is its own small art. We work off the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines at Wembley Park, the Bakerloo and Overground at Wembley Central and Willesden Junction, and Chiltern out of Wembley Stadium when a job is near the arena. The Brent quirk worth knowing is the stadium. On event days the council runs a Protected Parking Scheme, and the controlled zones around Wembley go permit-only from 8am right through to midnight, so if your road sits inside that ring and you book us for a match day, say so and we plan around it. Most days it makes no difference at all. The borough is also entirely inside the ULEZ, which runs every day bar Christmas, so an old diesel parked outside your flat is a daily charge whether we are there or not.

What the price includes
Everything below is part of a standard oven clean, not an extra once we are through the door.
- Full strip-down and reassembly of the oven.
- Dip-tank clean of every removable part: racks, trays, side runners, fan cover, inner door glass, plus range trivets and burners where there are any.
- Enzyme cavity clean of the walls, roof, floor, back panel, fan, element and seals.
- Both faces of the inner and outer door glass.
- Hinges and the seal gasket cleaned and checked.
- Control knobs and the front panel wiped down.
- A function test before we leave, and same-day use, because nothing we use has to burn off.
- All products, all kit, and the travel across Brent.
And the part that does not sit on a tidy list: a satisfaction and re-clean guarantee. If something is not right, tell the technician before they pack up and it gets put right on the spot. Notice it after we have gone and one phone call brings us back. In over ten years it rarely comes to that, but the guarantee is there so you are not taking it on trust.
How booking works
It is a short phone call. Ring 0333 555 2076 and tell us the oven type, roughly how grim it is, any add-ons like the hob or extractor, and when suits. We price it on the spot, usually inside two minutes, and book the slot. You can also email [email protected] if you would rather put it in writing.
Most Brent oven jobs land within three to five days, and same-day or next-day slots come up often midweek. Month-end is the busy patch, when move-out cleans stack across the borough, so if you are cleaning for an inspection, give us a week where you can. On the day we turn up in a liveried van with the dip-tank aboard, and you are welcome to stay, head to work, or get on with something in another room. There is a bit of scrubbing noise and no chemical smell at any stage. We test it, show you the result, take payment, and leave you an oven you would happily put a Sunday roast in. Not sure how bad yours counts as? Send a photo of the inside over the phone and we quote it properly.
Other cleaning we do in Brent
Oven cleaning is one slice of what we cover across the borough. The jobs people most often pair with it:

- End of tenancy cleaning in Brent, where the oven is the most-flagged line on the inventory and is built into every booking as standard.
- Carpet cleaning in Brent, often done on the same visit when a flat is being turned round between tenants.
- Domestic cleaning in Brent, the regular weekly or fortnightly clean, with an oven added on top once or twice a year.

Frequently asked questions
How much does oven cleaning cost in Brent?
A single oven is from £77, a double from £110, and a 90cm range cooker from £114. A two-oven AGA is from £143. Add-ons on the same visit cost less: a hob is £23 to £28, an extractor hood £28, and a microwave £22. We give you a firm figure on the phone first, so the price on the day is the price you agreed.
Do you cover all of Brent?
Yes. From Wembley and Wembley Park across to Willesden, Harlesden, Kilburn, Kingsbury, Neasden, Cricklewood and Queen’s Park. If your postcode starts HA0, HA9, NW2, NW6, NW9 or NW10 you are inside the patch. Ring with your postcode and we confirm in seconds.
Can I use the oven the same day you clean it?
Yes, the moment we leave. The dip-tank is non-caustic and water-based, so there is no caustic smell to burn off and no waiting around. The roast can go straight back in. That is the main reason people pick us over a supermarket spray and an open window all afternoon.
Brent has hard water. Does that hurt my oven?
It does, more than most people think. Affinity Water draws this part of north-west London from chalk, so it runs very hard, well over 300 parts per million of calcium carbonate. Limescale builds fast on grill pans, door glass and any metal that meets steam. We lift the scale as well as the grease, and the tank does both off the racks without scratching them.
Is there a parking problem on Wembley event days?
There can be, and it is worth flagging when you book. On stadium event days Brent runs a Protected Parking Scheme where the controlled zones near Wembley are permit-only from 8am to midnight. If your road falls inside it and we are booked for a match day, tell us and we plan around it. Most days of the year it is a non-issue.
How long does an oven clean take?
A single oven is about 90 minutes. A double is closer to two hours, a 90cm range two to two and a half. An AGA can run to a half-day because of its size and the enamel. We give you a realistic time on the phone so you can plan the rest of the day around it.
Is the method safe for the oven and the kitchen?
Yes. The tank is warm and water-based, kept well below the heat that would warp metal or lift a coating, and the cavity products are enzyme-based and enamel-safe. Most of the real harm we meet in Brent ovens came from years of caustic soda spray stripping the enamel, or wire wool scratching the glass. We use neither.

Do you clean the racks, trays and door glass too?
Every part that lifts out comes out and goes in the dip-tank: racks, trays, side runners and the fan cover. We also split the door and clean between the panes, which is where the brown film you can never wipe away actually sits. It all goes back exactly as it came out.
Do you clean pyrolytic or self-cleaning ovens?
Yes, and plenty of Brent owners of them still book us. The self-clean cycle bakes the cavity to ash but leaves the door glass, the racks and the fan cover untouched, and it does nothing at all for the hob or the extractor. Most owners run the cycle now and then and have us in once a year for the rest.
My oven is in a real state. Will it cost more?
Almost never. The tank does not care whether it is ten years of Sunday roasts or one curry that boiled over and welded itself on. We only charge more for genuine damage, like enamel already gone from old caustic cleaners, or grease that has worked into the insulation. We tell you on arrival, never after.
Do you do oven cleaning for end of tenancy in Brent?
Often. The oven is the single most flagged item on a Brent check-out report, and a receipt on company headed paper saying it was cleaned properly is frequently what gets a deposit released. If you are moving out, our end of tenancy cleaning in Brent covers the oven as standard.
Is Monster Cleaning a real, insured company?
Yes. We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, Companies House number 9919639, trading since 2014, with a satisfaction and re-clean guarantee on every job. Our Trustpilot sits at 3.1 out of 5 across 128 reviews, which we would rather show you straight than dress up. Insurance papers go to managing agents and landlords on request.
