How many hours you need depends on the home. A one-bed flat usually settles into two to two and a half hours a week, while a family house over three floors takes more. We agree the hours with you after the first visit rather than guessing from a postcode.

What a regular clean covers
The standard visit is the unglamorous list done well: kitchen worktops and cupboard fronts, the hob wiped over, the sink descaled, the bathroom scrubbed, floors hoovered and mopped, surfaces dusted, mirrors polished, bins out, beds changed if you leave fresh linen. Inside windows on request. Hand your cleaner a priority list each week and it gets followed.
Shower screens deserve their own line. Brixton water is hard, close to 300 milligrams of dissolved chalk in every litre, so glass fogs with limescale within a fortnight. Regular descaling keeps it clear. Leaving it six months turns a five-minute wipe into a restoration project.

If the flat has drifted for a few months, the opening session goes on getting the bathroom and kitchen back to a maintainable state, and the weekly or fortnightly rhythm holds them there afterwards. Flatshares, families and the Brixton mix
Flatshares first, because Brixton runs on them. A three-bed conversion off Railton Road or up Brixton Hill often holds three working renters and a cleaning rota that died in week two. The deep front gardens on the old Rush Common streets are lovely, and they feed a steady line of soil into hallways; we hoover it up without comment.
Then the commuters. Brixton is the end of the Victoria line, which means a seat in the morning and long days that finish with no appetite for mopping. Clients in the newer blocks by the station, Brixton Centric and the flats at Higgs Yard, tend to book fortnightly visits for compact two-beds where bathrooms, floors and dust are the whole battle. Yes. Skip a visit when family stays, pause for a holiday, or stop altogether with a week’s notice. No contract ties you in. We ask for notice purely so your cleaner’s diary can be refilled, because an empty morning costs them, not us.
