No two Wimbledon kitchens hand us the same oven. One day it is an AGA in a house by the Common, the next a compact electric single in a new flat on the Broadway that three tenancies have used and nobody has cleaned. We strip them back to bare, clean metal at a fixed price, agreed before we arrive.

Last updated July 2026. Prices and the areas we cover are checked each season, so what you read here is what you pay.

A single oven is £77, a double is £110, a 90cm range cooker is £114 and an AGA is £143, with hobs, extractor hoods and microwaves priced as small add-ons while we are there.

Oven cleaning prices in Wimbledon

Four numbers cover almost every cooker in SW19 and SW20. A single oven is £77. A double oven is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114, and an AGA is £143 because its castings, lids and flue take the best part of a morning to do properly. Those prices include the racks, the trays, the fan cover, the door glass and the seals, so there is no menu of extras hiding underneath them.

The genuine add-ons are small and priced like it: a hob is £23 to £28, an extractor hood is £28 including the grease filters, and a microwave is £22. Most customers add the hob at least. A clean oven under a spattered hob looks odd within a week.

Quotes are fixed. If the oven turns out to be a different beast from the one described on the phone, we talk before we start, never after.

Rental singles, family doubles and Village AGAs

Wimbledon’s appliance mix follows its housing. The new blocks along the Broadway, and the conversions on the streets off Haydons Road, are full of landlord-spec single ovens that pass from tenant to tenant with the grease compounding at each changeover. Nobody feels the oven is quite theirs, so nobody deep-cleans it, and by year three the glass is brown and the fan rattles through a crust of carbon. We meet a lot of those. They come up surprisingly well.

The family houses tell a different story. In the Apostles at Raynes Park and across Wimbledon Chase it is usually a double oven or a 90cm range working hard: batch cooking on Sunday, a roast midweek, trays of chips after football. Up in the Village and along the Common edge sit the AGAs and the big ranges, loved, permanently on, and cleaned around rather than in.

July adds one more kitchen to the list. Households letting their houses for the Championships fortnight want the cooker spotless before guests move in, and honest again after two weeks of someone else’s cooking. We schedule both ends of that.

What we actually do to your oven

Dust sheets go down first, from the cooker to the door. Then the oven comes apart: racks, trays, side runners, the fan cover, and the door itself where the design allows, because the worst grease always lives between the panes of glass. The removable parts soak in a heated tank out in the van while we work on the shell, so the burnt-on carbon lifts off in the soak rather than being chased around your kitchen.

Inside the cavity we use non-caustic products, so there are no fumes through the house and no waiting period. We scrape the glass clean with blades rather than scouring it, degrease the casing, reassemble everything and heat-test the oven before we leave. You can cook dinner in it that evening.

What we will not do is pretend chemistry fixes everything. Enamel that has worn grey, chipped or rusted stays worn, and a fifteen-year-old door seal is a fifteen-year-old door seal. You get back the cleanest version of the oven you own, said plainly before we book you in.

Hobs, extractors and the limescale film

Grease is only half of what dulls a Wimbledon kitchen. The other half is limescale, because Thames Water here is very hard, roughly 290 to 300 on the hardness scale, and every wiped-down hob dries with a faint mineral film that builds week on week. Mix that film with cooking spray and you get the grey haze that no ordinary kitchen cleaner shifts. On gas hobs it welds around the burner bases; on induction glass it shows every streak.

We take hobs apart as far as they allow, soak the pan supports and burner caps, descale, degrease and polish. £23 to £28, depending on size and condition. Extractor hoods are the forgotten job above it all, their metal filters clogged solid with sticky vapourised fat; those soak in the tank too, £28 the lot. A microwave, inside, outside and the ceiling of it, is £22.

Do the set once and the kitchen stops looking tired. Keep the kettle descaled and the hob wiped, and the hard water stays a background fact instead of a finish.

The firm behind the van

We are Monster Cleaning Ltd, company number 9919639 at Companies House, cleaning across London since 2014. The base is 255 Upper Richmond Road West, SW14 8QS, close enough that Wimbledon jobs are local work rather than a trek. Oven cleaning here is a trade, done daily, with its own kit, not a sideline bolted onto something else.

Trustpilot has us at 3.1 from 128 reviews and we would rather show you that than curate it away. Read the low ones and our replies. When we get something wrong the fix is simple: tell us, and we come back and put it right at no charge.

Plenty of Wimbledon customers pair the oven with carpet cleaning in Wimbledon or hand us the whole routine through domestic cleaning in Wimbledon. The main oven cleaning service page carries the full detail of the process if you want to read further.

How to book an oven clean

Phone 0333 555 2076, or email [email protected] and tell us three things: your postcode, what the cooker is, and anything you want adding, hob, hood or microwave. You get a fixed price and a time slot back the same day. If the AGA needs switching off the night before, we remind you when we confirm.

We cover the whole of Wimbledon and its edges: the town centre, the Village, South Wimbledon, Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon Chase, West Wimbledon and Raynes Park, across SW19 and SW20. Weekday and Saturday slots both exist; the week before the Championships fills first.

Moving out altogether? The oven is usually the deal-breaker in a deposit conversation, and our end of tenancy cleaning in Wimbledon covers the property as a whole in a single booked visit.

Frequently asked questions

How much does oven cleaning cost in Wimbledon?

A single oven is £77 and a double is £110. A 90cm range cooker is £114 and an AGA is £143. While we are there, a hob is £23 to £28 depending on size and state, an extractor hood is £28 and a microwave is £22. Every price is fixed and confirmed before we book you in.

How long does an oven clean take?

Around two hours for a single oven, longer for a double or a range because there is simply more metal and more glass. An AGA is a half-day job. We work on dust sheets, we bring everything we need, and the kitchen is usable the whole time apart from the cooker itself.

Can I use the oven the same day?

Yes. The products we use inside the oven are non-caustic, so there are no fumes to air out and nothing to burn off. Once we have finished and wiped down, you can cook that evening. The first heat-up may raise a faint wisp of steam from the hinges, which is water, not chemicals.

The standard: enamel back to black gloss, racks bright, glass clear.

Do you clean AGAs and range cookers?

We do. A 90cm range is £114 and an AGA is £143. The one thing an AGA needs from you is to be switched off the night before, because the castings hold heat for hours and we cannot strip a cooker we cannot touch. Ranges just need to be cool, a couple of hours off is plenty.

Do you clean hobs, extractor hoods and microwaves too?

Yes, and most people add them once the oven is booked. Hobs run £23 to £28, an extractor is £28 with the grease filters soaked, and a microwave is £22. Doing the set in one visit keeps the kitchen consistent, otherwise a gleaming oven sits under a hood that drips.

Is an oven clean worth booking when I move out of a rental?

Agents and landlords look inside the oven first, almost without exception, because it is the quickest way to judge how a kitchen was kept. A professional oven clean with a receipt takes that argument off the table. Book it for the last week of the tenancy, after the final big cook.

How often should an oven be professionally cleaned?

Once a year suits most households. Twice if you roast several times a week, cook for a big family, or have a fan oven that spreads grease to every surface inside. Between visits, wiping the glass while the oven is still slightly warm holds the worst of it back.

How do I book and which areas do you cover?

Ring 0333 555 2076 or email [email protected] with your postcode and what the cooker is: single, double, range or AGA, plus any hob, hood or microwave. We cover the whole of SW19 and SW20, from the Village and the town centre through South Wimbledon to Raynes Park.
